I believe he got into an accident or something like that where he hurt his ankle, and was able to sue. Of course he spent all the money on food and whatnot, and got fat before he was signed.

There's a lot of rappers I would include, but they're more lean or fit and not Canibus skinny, which I think Zu was asking for.
