Eminem sends statement about Nate Dogg

Postby PhilTh3thriLL » Mar 16th, '11, 20:25

Em on Nate Dogg:

“Nate’s voice in music will never be replaced. He helped create the blueprint for West Coast hip-hop, and I was one of the lucky people who had the privilege to work with him and the honor to have him as a friend. Nate will be sorely missed. My condolences and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.”

“Dealing with backstabbers,
there was one thing I learned. They're only powerful when you got your back turned.”

Brain damage, ever since the day I was born
Drugs is what they used to say I was on
They say I never knew which way I was goin
But everywhere I go they keep playin my song.

Lmao at Game's comment...

When do you ever 'expect' to hear about someone passing. Unless they're in weekly shoot outs or were born with cancer, when would you ever go "oh really? not a surprise..."

Dam! Nate Dogg...the last time we saw him was in 06 at the lab. He was doin a track with him in LA. He came out the booth and sat down
Grabbed some henny and just started shedding tears bc how we looked. It was 3 months after Proof passed. He told us..
"I hate to see yall like this. Yall look broken. Yall lost BIG. I know I'm drunk but it was the only way I could face yall today.....
"Proof was a good dude. I'll come back tomorrow and re-do the stuff I did today. Yall just keep making music" #RIPNateDogg

So here what kuniva said about Nate.

Doubt any rapper is going to heaven but we should be expecting an Em tribute song soon?

Cause the shit I hear is crazy
But your either getting lazy or you don't believe in you no more
Seems like your own opinions, not one you can form
Cant make a decision you keep questioning yourself
Second guessing and its almost like your begging for my help

Doubt anybody is going somewhere that doesn't exist.

And, I doubt Em will make a tribute song on Nate. He was a friend of his but they only worked together a few times, it's not like he was his best friend. And I think by doing a tribute song, as just a sort of... passing friend, would kind of cheapen the weight of the tribute.

I think that statement will be Em's only official word on it. Beyond the odd line or two.

Awesome Em, where were you when he had to ask for donations from fans to pay his medical bills? And not just Em, but every big hiphop figure. If they were really friends with Nate, they'd have taken care of him when he was down. I'm not saying that's why he died, I'm not blaming anyone for his death, but it's messed out how all these rappers are saying "RIP Nate, he was a good friend" when they couldn't have given him a tiny fraction of their millions a couple months ago. Makes me mad...

I assume you can look into his bank account? How do you know who gave him money or not.. Maybe they told him not to tell everyone whos giving him money? Maybe they didnt do it to look good to the outside world but just to help him? I bet tons of rappers supported him
