Why is Express Yourself on Straight Outta Compton???

I've never gotten the reasoning behind it. It's my favorite song on the album (except I love blasting Fuck The Police after I get a ticket, I have 2 parkings and a speeding in the past 2 months ), but it doesn't fit at all. It sounds like it should be on a Will Smith album. It's funny how they say MC's that cuss at home but don't in their songs are fake, yet Express Yourself is perfectly clean.

Also Dre says he doesn't smoke weed because it'll hurt his brain. We all know how that turns out...
