Better Producer- Denaun/Mr. Porter or Em?

I think Denaun makes the better beats but the beats Em makes are perfect for himself in terms of making the best possible Eminem tracks. Like an Eminem beat might not work as well for an artist as it would for a Denaun beat but an Eminem beat would work perfect with Eminem.

Mr. Porter, hands down. I love how he is capable of involving different type of music genres in his producing and making it all sound so smooth. I gotta give him props for making a name for himself and not not just being known as "Eminem's friend". He has contributed with beats for Pharoahe Monch, Dr. Dre, Method Man, Busta Rhymes, Rakim and a lot others already.

Eminem's instrumentals often seem more like full-on productions than Denaun's do. What I mean to say is that it's like Denaun is a beat maker and Em is a producer--quite a few artists see a distinction between the two, and I do as well.

I honestly don't know whether Eminem is FULLY involved in the making of his beats, or if he just 'hums' the melody, programs the drums, and that's all he does.

I do know that Porter has been making beats ever since he was like, 16, and he used to make them for Eminem. I loved On Fire, I liked most of Porter's Devil's Night beats...

I can't say who's better.

This, however, is the other side of the coin. I don't think Em is as directly involved as Denaun. I've read where Em talks about humming the melody to one of the studio musicians, and they use their knowledge of music theory to apply the notes in a way that is musically correct. In other words, outside of the drum patterns, I don't think Em could be a composer without knowledgeable musicians around him. Denaun, on the other hand, has demonstrated that he does it on his own--it's him on the keys, or entering the note patterns into the synth--because he's been doing it that way since before he got famous. Since shortly after Biterphobia, Em has always had a team to play what's in his head for him.

That beat was nice, but I guess with the Denaun Trick Trick beat above I like weird sounding beats sometimes and thats like a jazzy type beat, sorta weird in that aspect. It reminded me of Shorty Wanna Be A Thug.

I don't know of everything Mr. Porter has produced but from what I've heard he's good, and doesn't have one particular style - I think he can make pretty much any beat.

The "On Fire" beat is easily one of the best on Recovery though.

But I haven't heard him produce anything matching Em's best, Em is in the top levels of producers when he's at his best.

. Em can do anything when it comes to hip hop, he could probably be a good DJ too since he came out with the DJ Hero game too which was nice, and he said he always tries to incorporate DJing/scribbling into at least a record on each album which I think he has sometimes. Like Hello for example.
