What do the bold parts mean? Is it just a separate phrase, or it is a part of the whole bar, put together to create one meaning?
It just means he knew it would be hard to start over after getting a divorce. As in, having another relationship would be very difficult for him. He's got a hole in his heart like something's missing, a piece of him. Then you didn't put the complete line that makes the final part make sense. He says, "Some kind of emotional rollercoaster's something I won't go on, so if you toy with my emotions, ho, it's over." He doesn't want his heart to be played with. He's telling the girl he's seeing that he's tired of the games.
