No. I love Relapse because of that voice and delivery. You can't twist as many words and emphasize certain syllables and make it sound as delicate etc. in a low growl. I love that tongue-twisting, crafted flow, the way the words bounce off each other. Endlessly rhythmic and addictive.
And, I think it'd sound stupid having say... two songs in that accent and the rest like Recovery. Just like "Beautiful" sounds silly on Relapse (I mention it everytime, I know) because, the flow is so different. An album needs to exist in a world of its own...
I think Relapse could of been a masterpiece if he had put it out as a double-album, two SOLID albums comprised of the 'Relapse sessions' material which all told more of a forward momentum story of a fictional murderous relapse that got worse and worse, two SOLID albums of about... 12 songs each say.
And, if he left off ALL attempts to pander or please to any degree and was meticulous about the ordering / sequencing and quality-control. Could of had something special then. Because most tracks on Relapse are so bizarre and unique in their sound, it's such a class album minus the few duds. I wish he was more like Kanye and stayed 100% committed to his vision. Because, his material is so extreme that even compromising 2-5% of it, totally ruins it.
Instead, he fucks up #1 with two tracks and puts #2 in the bin, jokingly saying 'that's in the trash

' when it probably had some of the best material of his fucking career on it.
