Bad Guys Always Die/The Showdown Question

Postby FreeSpeech » Mar 18th, '11, 01:15

(Dre)
I figured he was telling the truth, that's why I didn't shoot
So what we gonna do, it's on you
(Do you recall when you and Snoop was a group?)
The Chronic!
(Well all we gotta do is find a map to part two)
(And plus I know who's got it)
Who?
(Some old dude, he's got 26 plaques and he already sold two)
Loaded up my saddle, got ready for battle
Hid two pieces of gold inside of my satchel
We rolled two miles until we hit the spot
An old ghost town that everybody forgot
A place where they used to smoke chronic a lot
Slim grabbed the shotgun (Dre here's the plot)

(Eminem)
This is the spot, they call him Doc Loveless
He's going around saying he took the game from us
(Let's shoot him in his kneecaps, he'll never see it coming)
But he ain't got no legs, they cut 'em off at the stomach
He's got mechanical legs, he spins webs
Plus he's well respected by the hip-hop heads
Our mission - is to get him to stop laying eggs
And we can put him on his back down a flight of steps

Who/what the hell is Eminem and Dre talking about?

There is a character in Wild Wild West called Dr. Loveless, he was controlling a mechanic spider or some shit.

Makes sense, what about the 26 plaques? Jimmy Iovine?

Came back to annihilate, the game's in dire straights, as I await
Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake

That movie brings back so many fucking memories, I remember when they had those sunglasses at BK for promotion and I remember the first scene Will Smith is with some naked bitch in a pool or hot tub or whatever.

26 plaques was probably the amount of plaques Dre had at the time.

You hold your whore tongue.
Just because it isn't full of multis doesn't mean it's weak, the whole thing is dope.

-Eminem and Dre's delivery
-The beat
-The storytelling
-The Western feel to it

Every song doesn't need 4 syllable multis and crazy wordplay, it's a damn good song.

Its a dope song. Funny that Em and Dre appeared on that album considering Em dissed Will Smith, though.
