Immortal Technique I think. Mobb Deep and Wu-Tang were the first shits I listened to that most average people couldn't tell you anything about.

Definitely Immortal Technique.

Point of No Return to be exact. A long time ago. Still a raw ass song. Kind of just blew him off though and listened to the popular (but good) artists like cham, 50, Em, Akon (Sorry Blame it On Me anyone?), Kanye, etc.

And then probably like a year ago I think I started getting into the underground college rapper scene (last year was my freshman year). Dudes like Chiddy, Tayyib Ali, and then eventually Macklemore and Blue Scholars. Found out about k-os too. Then came to this forum and started finding out about more lyrical underground rappers (Hopsin represent).

And that's my story.

Slaughterhouse, if you consider that underground.

After that was Immortal Technique then Diabolic.

Tilted! Brim low brim low....

Which was an underground song, featured on one of his mixtapes. But, actually, the very first Lupe song I've heared was Mean & Vicious. On one of his Fahrenheit 1/15 mixtapes...

Masta Ace (Disposable arts) or Nas (Illmatic). Probably the first one.

Haha. I used to speed up everytime that song came on, that shit was banging. I gotta start listening to Lupe soon, I'ma start downloading his stuff. Are his mixtapes good? I know his rhymes are straight, but are the beats good? I'm gonna go for his early stuff for now...

Yeah, son, his mixtapes are fire. Some dope beats too. Wordplay is of the chain on those mixtapes.
