The Other Slim Shady/Marshall Mathers LP

Postby FreeSpeech » Mar 18th, '11, 18:17

I took some of his non-album and unreleased songs from 1998-2000, he's got enough to make a damn good album. I realize some of these are from other albums, but I tried to take songs that weren't huge like Forgot About Dre or something. I used his prank calls as skits, and the ones I picked transition into the songs pretty well. I tried to put the songs in a speacific order.

IDK, nothing major, but I just thought this was cool. I'm gonna make the actual CD and listen to it front to back and see how it sounds as an album.

1 Appointment (Skit)
2 Hellbound ft. Ace
3 Our House
4 Off The Wall ft. Redman
5 The Showdown ft. Dr. Dre
6 Bad Influence
7 My Words Are Weapons ft. Swifty McVay, Bizarre
8 Quitter
9 Brenda (Skit)
10 She's The One ft. Royce The 5'9
11 Any Man
12 The Last Hit ft. High n' Mighty
13 Get You Mad
14 Turn Me Loose ft. Limp Bizkit
15 Til Hell Freezes Over

That's a lot of good songs, tbh.

Came back to annihilate, the game's in dire straights, as I await
Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake

Agreed. Voice variation is too large.

Yeah I noticed that, but it's like that kinda throughout the tracklist. But there's only a 1-3 year difference between any tracks, so I think it has more to do with the sound quality.

Yeah sound quality is obv a difference maker here but one more thing "My Words Are Weapons ft. Swifty McVay, Bizarre" is a total stand out when it comes to content ,flow and need.

The song in question gives you a total different picture that can't be portrayed PERFECTLY in this track list .

Yeah I know, it's not like it's perfect haha, a lot of thought goes into making an album. I tried to make the order of the songs flow though. Like, he says his "words are weapons" as a warning and then torches Everlast with Quitter. I follow Brenda with She's the One, and Til Hell Freezes Over is a fitting album closer. It prolly would sound more coherent w/o My Words Are Weapons and Quitter, I might take them out. How's this look?

1 Appointment (Skit)
2 Hellbound ft. Ace
3 Our House
4 Off The Wall ft. Redman
5 The Showdown ft. Dr. Dre
6 Bad Influence
7 If I Get Locked Up Tonight
8 365 ft. Skam
9 Brenda (Skit)
10 She's The One ft. Royce The 5'9
11 Any Man
12 The Last Hit ft. High n' Mighty
13 Get You Mad
14 Turn Me Loose ft. Limp Bizkit

Yeah those are all good songs...but with technology now days...looks more like a track list.

Btw, yall look into shit way too much. Voice variation? Need for a song IN a tracklist? Lol. I forgot how crazy everyone is here.

How about "Nothin' To Do" ft Royce ? :)
"This dude doing this interview wants me to spin a few,
Lyrics while I tie my tennis shoes in the nude
A romantic interlude in a livin’ room,
In an inner tube with a dude with a bit of lube
Fuck that I’m sniffin’ glue, sippin' gin & juice,
And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,
You better pay me for my bars like your rent is due,
Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."
