I'd say a vast majority of the users who 'like' Eminem on facebook are the new generation of fans who were introduced to him through Recovery, or rather just 'Love the way you lie'. It's this new generation of teenagers who run the social media networks, I mean just look at how many followers Justin Bieber and all the other 'hot' teen sensations have on twitter.

Michael Jackson has possibly hundreds of millions of fans more than Eminem. There's people in countries who can't speak a word of English, but would still know how to say Michael Jackson and know who he is.
