I was being serious. I guess it can happen with what ever you hold in high regards in rap. You treasure delivery, I treasure lyrics. Once you find the delivery/lyrics you like the most everything else just fails to compare. I can't even enjoy all the Wu-Tang and Mobb Deep I first dug because the lyrics bore me now. It really sucks. I get bore do music more often now because less of it is as good to me.

^He has a point. If you listen to a lot of underground rap, wich is heavily focused on lyrics, it won't be that easy for you to enjoy some old school rap, 'cause a lot of old school rap isn't that lyrically if you compare it to some underground rappers out now.

It doesn't stop me to enjoy music, though. Because I categorize my music taste as everything that sounds good to me.

Thing is I do like lyrical rappers, One Be Lo is a testament to this, though I do wish he switched his delivery up a bit. I have to be in a different mood when listening to Mobb Deep than when Iisten to Binary Star/ or Blackalicious though.

As far as dzk is concerned his delivery pisses me off, but I do like when he sings actually (Jesus, What's your age again). One rapper who REALLY pisses me off delivery wise though would be Chino Xl.

I've definitely noticed that. I first started delving into underground rap, then to more old school so a lot of the old school I don't enjoy as much as I would had it been the first rap I listened to .

Actually, i read somewhere that he was signed to Atlantic Records because of his capability but they wanted him to change so much of his music that it really wasn't him anymore so he left and stayed underground... AP > Budden.

Apathy just needs better production and that's it. Don't get me wrong Budden can do good relatable real songs but Apathy overall is better. I mean, Budden is one of theses rappers i have to be in a certain mood to listen to, with some Ap tracks, especially when he rips a beat with no concept, i can listen to anyday
