Alright, before we get started please don't make this a shock thread and try to be edgy by saying "lololol illmatic sucks", or "Lupe Fiasco is a overrated pretentious douche". Try to at least give reasons for why you may have certain feelings, and for everyone else please don't get butthurt and try to start an argument if someone may have an opinion (no matter how stupid it may be), just let them keep living in their world of ignorance.

I have quite a few, but I'd like to read some of your before I drop some input.

Tupac, Eazy E & Biggie aren't as amazing as people make them out to be just because they died. If they were still alive today they would have fell off hard.

Tupac is the most overrated rapper ever.

Oh yeah, and Eazy E sucks. Really fucking bad. He had the most simple flow and lyrics ever and his delivery was the generic, slow paced 80s style "My name's MC ___ and I'm here to say".

I find Nas extremely boring and monotonous. Not to say he doesn't have some good songs, but I can't listen to him for more than 2-3 songs.

I don't think BIG or Tupac are even top 10. I believe they are completely over-hyped because of their deaths. If they were alive today, both of them would most likely be under the same scrutany as people like prodigy and Jay Z who don't know when enough is enough and to hang it up.

NWA and 99% of the rappers from that era were terrible. None of them, apart from Ice cube, had any form of actual skill.

EDIT: DMX is one of the most criminally underrated rappers of all time.

Wu-Tang are also boring. I liked some of their shit on first listen, but never replayed it again. Only Wu member I occasionally listen to is Raekwon.

New hiphop is far better than old school.

I can appreciate it, but a lot of classic albums bore me. New hiphop has far better beats, production, lyrics, etc. If you look at lyrics from 36 Chambers, most of them would get trashed as terrible today.
