I've listened to every single Copywrite release, you lose. And name those songs that are catchy, I bet half of 'em are FAR from being catchy. Most of his somewhat catchy songs are on Life & Times.

So does Gift of Gab
So does Dessa (she sings as well)
So does Blu
So does K-os (he fucking sings in a lot of his songs for crying out loud)

do you want me to start naming songs? I mean class was wrong in saying EVERY underground artists has catchy songs, but I still stand that these artists are catchy as hell when they want to be.

Never listened to K-os, Dessa or Gift of Gab.

Mainstream does NOT take talent, first of all the mainstream artists aren't talented the producers are for making the catchy beats & hooks. Second that production is way easier to make then people think, they follow a cookie cutter method to produce hit songs. The majority of mainstream artists have no talent & the producers follow a simple method they could put out enough catchy songs for the whole year in a month.
Underground has far better lyricism & dope lyrics get stuck in my head just as much as a catchy hook. If I'm listening to a song & I think "SHITTT what did he just say that was dope" i'm gonna be repeating that in my head for the next few days.
Being catchy appeals to the major demographic they're going for, makes a shit ton of money and is easy to crank out. That's why it's what artists on major record labels put out.

Regarding people who make millions doing that they either get discovered or are recommended by someone with a lot of influence in the music industry, usually you have to look good too or theres almost no chance of you making it. The other way is of course if your so good that you manage to gather a huge fanbase off of your music without being signed to a major label, eventually they'll be forced to take notice & won't pass up on the opportunity to make money off of you. It happened to Immortal Technique & Apathy both of em turned it down.
I don't think I KNOW I could make a song catchier and better than hard in the paint if I knew the people and had the support that Wocka Flocka did.

Yeah, they are catchy but that's really not what I was arguing. Lello said "a lot of underground rappers have catchy songs" which is not true simply because he said "a lot".

I wouldn't consider any of the people you've listed "catchy artists".
