@Immigrant You think any serious rapper would say "I fuck with Soulja Boy" while the beat pauses into acapella in the middle of one of those emo songs?

Everything about the dude is funny as fuck. He listed off his influences and they included Master P, Gucci Mane, and Soulja Boy.

And honestly the dude is actually decent at making beats. Mac Lethal even ripped one of them.

And anwyay, people enjoy staying ignorant ("fear what they don't understand, hate what they can't conquer"), I doubt even Jay and Em making a song about it would make any difference.

Won't be long til both of those are working with them anyway.

It fucking pissed me off when Big Boi included Gucci on his album and no-one said anything

Now, that I think about it if people like Rakim, Nas & Mos said something about it then those same idiotic listeners would simply ask "who the fuck are these rappers".

And I think Eminem & Jay-Z are smart enough to not work with these people. Especially Eminem.

First off... :shakehead:

Now, Lil B DOES have some serious songs. Listen to some songs on the Angel Exodus album/mixtape (I know you won't) but he has tolerable shit in there, Motivation for example.

He might be trolling us with songs like "Wonton Soup" and "Like A Martian" though

The serious songs are still a troll even if they come out decent. (They're to throw you off)

It's all a troll. Sadly this is one of those cases where it literally is opinion though.

Word to that. I watched 45 seconds of that video and it made me wonder how the fuck is it possible to even listen to that, let alone ENJOY it?

But I also blame Waka, Gucci and Soulja for killing the culture I love. Yeah, I blame them for that because if they really loved it too, they'd never come up with that garbage. So when it comes to pointing out who's responsible, I'd say both - "artists" and audience.

Anyways, the song is shit, like total shit and even "Candy Shop" beats it, because as much as I resent 50 for making those pointless ass-shaking tracks, at least he's creative, got some skills and an awesome voice.

And for the record: beat sucks elephant cock. (the new phrase, thanks to McMaybe)

Did he really say that about Nas?

I've never really paid attention to this dude, even though I've heard so many people talk about him.

I just learned a while a go he was actually born in Queens, Jamaica to be exact. I almost gave up on hip hop if Queens was responsible for this atrocity, but I found out he moved to ATL at a young age and picked his style up there.

Lets all say another thank you to the South. Another great contribution to hip hop from them.

I actually used to feel the same way, but I was watching some interview of him, and he was talking about how he knows he's not a lyrical rapper. He makes music just for the sound of it. I gained a lot of respect out of him because of it -- he doesn't front and act like the illest lyricist to ever grab a pen.

I like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcmhVRv8E0Q

Enjoying Waka Flocka Flame's music mainly comes down to whether or not you like trap style beats, and focus more on ablibs rather than lyrics

It's not something I'd listen to often, but when its done right it can be pretty decent, I wouldn't call anybody an idiot for finding Waka Flocka or Gucci Mane enteraining
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified
