Speaking of Justin Biebers, Jesse McCartney's 10 seconds of fame was literally like 10 seconds. What happened to that guy.

no you can not. You can't just suddenly have a good voice if you are put into choir for 2 years.

If that is the case, PLEASE explain to me why we don't have a shitload more of JBs running around?

We have Greyson Chance, Cody Simpson & The Jonas Brothers, and these are just the ones i've heard of i'm sure theres millions of other kids out there who are the local JB of their school or town but aren't famous.

really? They only like to market one at a time..

first of all, explain to me who they are.

Second, why would they only market 1 at a time, when they can market 5-6 at a time and make a shitload more of money.

and you were saying my argument is a fail... :facepalm

exactly and those million people definitely do not have all the characteristics that JB has, otherwise they too would be famous mainstream artists.

Thank you for proving the point I have been debating with you guys.

Because it wouldn't work to market 5-6 at one time lol. They obviously market other artists that make different music but what would be the point in having more than one Justin Bieber. I didn't think you were dumb but come on...

1. They were EXTREMELY popular a few years ago and girls were drooling over them.

2. Because people usually stick to one product until it dates out.

No it's because they don't need them right now, also a lot of the characteristics that JB has a lot of kids could easily have on camera/stage with the record company execs telling them how to act/what to say in interviews. He's a product & could be duplicated easily if needed.

that is your opinion and if you do not consider his voice a talent, maybe you would consider the songs he writes as his talents.

You do realize insulting me does not make you sound smarter, if anything it makes you sound like a arrogant dude who can not defend himself logically so you go around insulting people to make urself feel better.

now back to the point. Yes it would work to market 5-6 or at one time. Why? because it's not like the label that has signed JB has his style of music copyrighted so no other label can sign someone like him. That's like saying sorry Kesha, we wont sign you we already have a Lady Gaga or sorry Christina Aguilera we already have a Britney Spears.

There are literally dozens of rappers out there who sound, have the same style/beat choice and even look like Eminem/Lil' Wayne.

Why is there only one of them in the mainstream?

Your arguments don't even make sense though lmao. Only one teeny bopper pop start can be big a time, he overshadows the rest of them, obviously other labels have tried when you look at Cody Simpson but it was too late. They'll just have to wait for Justin to mature so girls won't be all over him anymore.

Oh and you can't call the songs he writes a talent considering he doesn't write them....

Charisma, quality of product (most of the time), marketability, attitude etc.

I'm saying they literally have all of that. None of them are as lyrical but there is definitely a shit load of people with Em's appeal.

Hopsin is a huge example. EVERYONE who likes Eminem likes Hopsin other than Block who is a sell out anyways.

Why are you idiots even talking about Biebs? How does he relate to hiphop? This thread is about mainstream RAPPERS, not Britney Spears or something...
