I mean you haven't proved anyone wrong in how he isn't "killing hip hop"

We all addressed this, everyone did except you, it's the title of the thread, you literally haven't spoken on it and have just ranted on about how pointless it is to complain (lololololol).

And yes, it's a damn forum. Exactly, you're still complaining so so am I. These threads aren't even "constant", that was the first time anyone has made a thread about Wacka or Gucci in...how long? Oh that's right, since the Ice Cream thing. You didn't make this thread because you were sick of anything, you did it because you are the innovative rebellious topic setter who has an original point of view on everything.

You are literally an inverted version of an IRL underground fan.

I don't know if anything that opinionated can be proven, but:
Flockaveli, a mainstream album with heavy radio play, sold only 37,000 its first week. This is far from what similarly skilled rappers were selling in the mid 2000s.

You're right that these threads aren't constant here, it's more a general attitude. I merely used Waka as an example. It's not a big deal.

And I'm an inverted version of an IRL underground fan? What is that supposed to mean, that i defend/promote mainstream artists? I find plenty of mainstream wack and terrible. I listen to lots of underground. I make my threads with the intention of having people argue and attack my opinion. I don't make up my beliefs, but if I pick between thread idea A and idea B, I'll pick the one that will get more of a rise out of people. Why not? At the end of the day, I live in the real world and don't really care if a few dozen anonymous pople hate my opinions. I respect a lot of user's opinions on here, like dead prez. I think they're wrong sometimes, but I'm sure they think I'm wrong too. I have users on here defend my posts and say I am one of their top posters as well, so I don't really cae if my opinion is bashed.

One hit wonder bubble gum pop rapstars usually sell dick unless you were in the 90s.

You're right that these threads aren't constant here, it's more a general attitude. I merely used Waka as an example. It's not a big deal.

What's the general attitude? That people like to bash trash, and rightfully so?

And I'm an inverted version of an IRL underground fan? What is that supposed to mean, that i defend/promote mainstream artists? I find plenty of mainstream wack and terrible.

It means that you constantly defend garbage mainstream artists no matter how terrible, and always to be diplomatic about it. Yeah we get it, you can bump underground and mainstream simultanenously, no need to constantly try to enlighten us.
I listen to lots of underground.

Good for you
I make my threads with the intention of having people argue and attack my opinion.

So you admit to being controversial than, just to get more attention?

Follow through on your convictions than, and stop getting annoyed if people bash Wacka/Souljia/Gucci.

Wacka Flocka's sales aren't a depiction of his actual fanbase. Even idiots know how to google mediafire RARs.

And a general attitude is not only complaining. A general attitude is if you ask them what they think wack hip hop is, they will use these wack artists as an example. So if you're against that, you're basically saying we shouldn't believe wack is wack? You didn't say that, but you're implying it.

And no, you listen to DZK and one of the worst internet rap groups of all time. You are obviously not a strictly radio fan. You listen to underground rap, but your sig is nothing but promotion for commercial artists on a forum that you know has a large portion of underground fans. You flaunt your opinions with this mentality:

So yes, you are indeed an inverted underground rap fan. An underground rap fan does all of that, but in a pool of mainstream lovers. Your current name and "Robot" together fit you perfectly: You are a promotion of manufactured free speech.

-What does that pic have to do with me?
-I pointed out Waka's sales to show that he doesn't have the dominance that a similarly skilled rapper would have had a mere 5 years ago.
-Who is the worst group, OFWGKTA? Tyler, The Creator is the only one I've cosigned on here, other than one Frank Ocean song. I've said that I don't care for the rest of them.
-"manufactured free speech"? I (almost never  ) say shit just to piss people off or get a reaction. I believe everything I say. I post plenty of non-controversial topics, share dope new music, etc. Everything I say is written out and supported, I never justpost a one sentence thread designed to piss people off.
-Yes, my sig is 100% commercial artists. If you noticed, it says "who i'm listening to" on it. That is who I was bumping when I made it. I go in different runs, one week it very well could have had DZK, Tech N9ne, and Gravediggaz in it. I found Pink Friday awful, couldn't even finish it, but I had been to listening to some of Nicki's dope non-PF stuff so she made the list. I'll update it soon.
-Yes, I advocate mainstream because I feel like a lot (not all) of the people on here write a lot of it off as wack. While I listen to a good deal of underground, I prefer the overall sound of mainstream so that's why most of my posts involve mainstream artists. But hell, I posted a Brotha Lynch Hung vid a while back...

I've grown up listening to hip hop you assumptive moron, and do love it. I hate bringing up race, because 99% of the time it's irrelevant, but as a Black man I can say that hip hop has affected my culture in a way you can't understand without experience, both positively and negatively. That's why I can see the good in what you don't. I'm not from the ghetto, but the Black community is influenced by hiphop far more than any other community and I'm not even going to bother describing the ways it has affected my family, cousins and personal life.

Class, I gaurantee most of the stuff you say on here, you would never say in person, to my face. This isn't me trying to be some internet tough guy and front like I'm intimidating, that's stupid. I'm saying you would never dare have the audacity to insult my experience, knowledge, and love of hiphop in person, when you can put a face and voice to my past.

I would say anything to your face  I don't know who you think I am.

But I only say that because when you love Hip-Hop you don't want it to be represented by those morons. You don't want to get into a Rock vs. Rap argument and they pull the it's just a bunch of idiots rapping about drugs and bitches and guns. Because it's not. Saying oh well who cares doesn't solve any problems and doesn't help the image at all, like others have said, we need to stand up agains that bullshit.

Haha right McLovin.

Hiphop is no more represented by Waka and Gucci than rock is represented by Nickelback and whoever else sucks. Rap vs Rock, what are you, a 12 year old Youtube commenter? BOth genres are great, it's apples and oranges. I give a damn if some kid wants to say all rap sucks, his loss. No intelligent person I know is ignorant enough to write off a genre of music. I can't think of anyone intelligent I know who, after showing them Nas' I Can, will write off the genre.

You stand up against "that bullshit" Class. Tell me how it works out for ya. You have no influence over anything.

You took what he said too personally, no need to tell us your life story. While yes that was ann assholish move on his part, I'm sure he didn't want to insult what the genre means to you. But seriously if you care so much for this genre, than WHY defend stains like Souljia/Gucci/Wacka? They're garbage they're no way around this, you can jump through hoops, bend over backwards, and perform all kinds of semantics gymnastics but fact is they suck.

Who said anything about youtubers? I'm talking about teachers, parents, coaches who here I rap and assume I'm some hoodlum that's gotten into drugs and when I try and debate that not all Hip-Hop is like that they just cite wacka, gucci, lil wayne and soulja boy.

And you can call me Mclovin all you want, it doesn't bother me at all lol. It doesn't take away from the fact that I'm 5'7, 140 but I can bench 235 and could probably beat the hell out of you :coffee:

Then have a backbone, why do you need approval? I don't care if someone judges me by my music. It isn't right, but I know that it's their loss and they are the ignorant ones. I'll constructively argue with them, but if they are so closed minded as to write off a genre of music, screw them. My pops was the same way about modern rap (he lectured me as he was listening to Rapper's Delight and DMC haha). Then I showed him Lupe, Common, etc.

And good god IDGAF what you bench. I'm not gonna get into a "I could beat you up" argument over the internet. From what you write and by self admission, you sound like a nerdy self righteous idiot who thinks anyone who doesn't share his musical taste is worthless. And post a picture of yourself, I'd love to put a face to you haha, just curious. I wanna see what I'm dealing with, helps humanize it a bit...

Again, way to be an assumptive douche. A shitload of rappers represent it in a positive way, but good news always takes the backburner.

And have the balls to post a pic, most of the regular users have. If you would, as you claim, say this stuff to my face, post your picture, it's the next best thing. I have...
