They have a better shot at Lupe than the non highlighted ones.

But no Gift of Gab, OBL, Mos Def, Dessa, Ghostface (I know I didn't include him on the original list, Gza was supposed to symbolize the Wu), Jay z are all at least on par with him, with me leaning towards the mcs I named. I wasn't trolling either when I named them.

Well maybe I was exagerating but I really don't think that Jay Z or Dessa are remotely as good as Lupe. I'll be honest and admitt I don't know who some of the people on your list are and I assumed Lupe was better then them (I know thats just sad :'( ).

Point is Lupe should be considered an all time great. Sure he only has released two albums (can we please pretend Lasers doesn't exist. Please?) but Biggie only had two albums and at least in my opinion Lupe's are nearly as good.

Have you listened to Dessa? Not to mention the fact that they have two completely different styles to compare, though Jay and Lupe can be compared somewhat.

Here's one of here best songs

Fair enough, I think he's up there.

And yeah death hype gets rappers fellated, though to be fair to Biggie he was getting better as an mc, so while it's just baseless conjecture whether he would fell off or kept ripping shit up , he still died at 24. I mean really Eminem didn't release SSLP till he was like 25-26.

Though if you want a real overrated dead legend than Big L is what I would consider one, though he's still great. He only has one album when he was alive, and The Big Picture was just alright. Not to mention his amount of recycled verses.

I'm the only in this forum that really mentions her, unless you visit other forums where they also big her up.

If you don't like her verse here than you probably won't like her music at all. I do like how she's able to easily switch up between singing and rapping, kinda like K-os.
