Even as a Nas fan I can't say that. Distant Relatives and Untitled are both solid/good albums lyrically but they don't even come close to Illmatic/IWW and Lost tapes/Stillmatic if you ask me.

Nas never really fell off. Yes, he has released a couple of mediocre albums but he has always come back with great stuff unlike a lot of the legends of the game.

I feel Stillmatic/LT/IWW all have overall better concepts while Illmatic is the real blueprint of hip hop in almost every possible way. Distant Relatives has some of the best and most original production hip hop has ever heard but I feel it should have been more "cynical"... I know the music is not what you want it to be but that's how felt after having listened. Maybe I need to give it a few more spins.

He was on fire from HHID-Untitled, but he's far too inconsistant (on some songs his flow is atrocious) . Like HHD said, he never truly "fell off", but he's still not as good as he was on illmatic-96. Which was his prime, very few artists can retain their prime throughout their entire career though so whatever.

He killed him on ever collab on their primes i.e. Live Nigga Rap, Self Conscience, Family (okay maybe not Nas' prime), give it up fast. Only Collab Nas got P on was Eye 4 an Eye.
