KRS-One interview

An old KRS-One interview I found on Youtube about the culture and lifestyle of hip hop. Some would say it's pretentious bullshit but to me it describes my fascination of hip hop perfectly. Even though he tends to say a lot of bullshit, I can't disagree with anything here.

Speaking of KRS-One, his last album, Godsville, was as disappointing as Lasers but I am still going to give his joint album with DJ Premier a chance. That album has the potential to be another timeless classic from the teacher.

KRS has been like this way for.....ever.

Anyone who considers it pretentious bullshit simply doesn't understand his relevance in hip hop.

He's been the preacher and the teacher since 1991. He's never told someone they had to listen to him, it's whether they wanted to listen to him.

I used to hate him, mainly because of his comments on 9/11 but I'm beginning to understand his point of view a little bit more. If it wasn't for personalities such as KRS-One to stand up for the culture of hip hop, I'm not sure where we would have been.

The guy always seems to take time to answer a question properly and with respect.
