Great Albums Tainted By Features

Postby MikeNUFC » Apr 8th, '11, 01:02

I've got quite a few for this but I'll post two for now, both by the same artist...

Masta Ace - Disposable Arts
Masta Ace - Long Hot Summer

The features' on these albums are so annoying. Strick, Edo G, King Tee and Big Noyd are the worst culprits tainting potentially brilliant songs.

Even the songs where the feature is decent, they just don't sound right and all you can think about is how much better it would be if they fucked off and left Ace to it.

It's always pissed me off how Tech N9ne has so many features. They're not bad, but come on dude.

Especially his work with E-40.

Sadistik- Write of Passage (Feat. Vast Aire)

It doesn't ruin the album but I just wanted to express how much I fucking hate Vast Aire. One of the worst verses I've ever heard.

I've been waiting for someone to mention this song on the forum. I agree, that verse was beyond terrible. Sadistik's on the other hand :y:

Sadistik's verse is incredible. It contains my favorite rhyme of all time.

Vast Aire on the other hand...

"I'll bite your face and make a sandwhich" :facepalm

Hell on Earth- Mobb Deep

Big Noyd fucking blows dinosaur cock, and ruins every song he's on. And who the fuck is General G (Can't get enough off it), he made like one verse in his entire career than vanished off rap. They should have collabed with Ghostface and Nas more.

And I know Havoc isn't really a feature and he had a few great verses, but so many of them just felt like filler until Prodigy's verses were laid (Frontlines, Apostle's Warning). It would have been nuts if Hav just did the hook on Frontlines and P had three straight solid verses like on Quiet Storm (speaking off which the remix of that song with Lil kim sucks ).

I know one thing Big Noyd's debut was only bearable because of Prodigy's verses, he stopped his friend's albums from completely sucking.

That was a collabo album, of course it's going to have tons of features.

Encore's features completely ruined a potentially great album.

Well the entire album was features so saying the album was fantastic but it was tainted by features is stupid.

Any album with more than 4-5. Even that is a lot but more than that and it's just stupid.

Copywrite - The Life & Times of Peter Nelson

One of my most played albums but all the MHz features tainted the album.

(don't kill me class!)

Only two songs had MHz features.

The Planet Asia, Sean Price, MF Grimm, Motion Man and Dilated Peoples features tainted it.

I like Sean Price and Motion Man's features.

I just rarely listen to Best In Show, MegaMega, Future Throwback & Rob The Club. All the rest of the songs I've heard easily over 100+ times.
