No, R&B is nothing close to Pop , don't even put New Rihanna on the R&B genre (althrough she WAS)

With that song he gained a lot of credibility and respect again. There's not one rapper out, that wouldn't have loved to be the author. It's an anthem, that can be used in different ways. Not Afraid contains the best messages for the youth. STOP SITTIN ON YOUR ASSES, AND DO SOMETHING FOR YOURSELF! It was a big inspiration to me, when I started my weight-loss program. Plus the title is awesome, because now the media always tryin' to make you afraid of something. (Terrorists, swine-flue, etc.). Media makes you feel ugly, (but don't let em say... youknow the rest ) and then this Marshall guy shows up in the charts, and says that you have to fight your demons, and be a MAN. (The other song like this is "By myself" by Proof and Kon Artis, that track is a legend).

Plus I loved the "fuckyou for Christmas" line it killed me.
