You've got to learn how to approach ladies differently. Don't approach them in a friendly way if you're interested in her. You can avoid the friend zone quite easily if you know how to approach them. Of course you have the being-friends-and-then-falling-in-love issue. Only way to solve that issue is to evaluate if she's worth it to risk your friendship with her. Either stay in a platonic relationship, or take the risk, and tell her your feelings.
