I think you can deal with the same topic and talk about it in a 100 different ways, looking at it from various angles. Alone the choosing of the words makes a difference in the interpretation.

Sure I'd like him to find some new topics to discuss in his songs - but be serious, what's left? And what would you actually feel emotional about? Exactly - how hard life is and the whole stuff he's doing since years now.

Still his songs are much much better than the whole pop & rock stuff which is only repeating the same topic over and over WITHOUT looking different at it. I mean can you really tell the difference of pop songs today from the ones 10 years ago - regarding the content I mean?
