I'm confused. If you consider Relapse & Rhyme Asylum "Rapping about something", what rappers don't rap about anything? I love RA & Relapse, but when people say "Filler content" it's usually against that type of music.

Neither is Rhyme Asylum's. At all.

My point is your argument is that content > rhyming & punchlines, and that rappers should have both, and therefore Slaughterhouse is weak. Joe Budden has both (Even though frankly his rhyming isn't amazing, but it's still good), but now you're dismissing him because he's "Not easy on the ear" while you listen to Rhyme Asylum, who's voices are the biggest acquired taste you could possibly have in an artist.

Slaughterhouse talks about more than nothing. A lot more than RA or Relapse, that's for sure.

Here's a breakdown of their first album completed in ONE week.

Sound Off - Introductory song. Not anything important but it serves its purpose as an introductory tracks for the album.

Lyrical Murderers- Yeah, it's nothing important. Pretty much bragging.

Microphone -It has somewhat of a concept.

Not Tonight- A feel good song. Not uplifting but it makes you feel happy. A don't fuck with me song but in a lighter manner.

The One- The lead album single, a party/girl song.

Cuckoo - Again, yeah nothing important. A song about being crazy/cuckoo.

Onslaught 2 - See Not Tonight.

Salute - About not getting the props they want/deserve. A bitter/angry song.

Pray (It's A Shame) - Obvious. Emotional song.

Cut You Loose - Talks about Hip-Hop. "You're no good, I have to cut you loose" explains this song.

Rain Drops - Even more of an emotional song than Pray (It's A Shame).

Killaz - Somewhat horrorcore song or at least Royce's verse.

Not including the biggest emotional/meaningful song. Move On. YEAH! Slaughterhouse definitely talks about nothing!

I have literally never heard Killaz in full. It was such a weird song to place at the end of an album so I always just stop after Rain Drops.
