I was going to say content easily, but there's just some days, when I want to drift off and listen to a rapper shred a beat.

how and why does my post look ridiculous?

and i agree with what u said,bro

And he's saying how he'll kill your point? I mean I know you have to have some wit drop hot 16s, but it definitely doesn't go under emotional/introspective, deep, or storytelling. It's just "I'll kill you", albeit done with tact.

It's about something too. If Relapse is about rape and killing, this is about sucking a duck chokin on a prick because i'm sick.

False dichotomy and strawman, he never said that he wants to listen to such an elementary rhymer force multies, and you're assuming that just because a song doesn't have some deep meaning behind it or isn't theatric it can be thrown into the bargain bin.

Honestly I can't choose between great multis & great punches. Seeing as how "content" in here just means rapping about how hard life is & all that other emotional shit I prefer them both over content.

I don't understand why people act like you have to pick just one

Good rappers don't segregate, they combine them

You left out flow/rhythym/just souding good so...

1) Flow
2) Content
3) Multis
4) Punchlines

If you don't have flow and sound bad, I won't listen. Period. 50 generally doesn't have great content, multis, or punchlines, but some of his songs are just dope cuz of the smooth flow/voice.

I'm the only one that picked punchlines :o

1.) I've heard rappers rhyme complete sentences throughout a song, and I go back just to see that none of the lines even made sense. Fuck That!

2.) I've heard rappers make "emotional songs" that are sooo broad and general. Songs that I could make to make myself seem like I have a hard life, when in reality all I did was say things that were "poetic" and say I was depressed a few times.

3.) 95% of the time I want to listen to music, I'm not in an angry/sad mood, I'm in a good mood. I love hearing puns and wordplay that either make me crack up or just say "WOW how the fuck did he do that?" What I really love about hip-hop is that it is the only genre that is funny and clever.

If you read the OP, I said this is assuming the rapper we're talking about already had these traits. We're discussing everyone's different perspectives of lyricism because of an argument that occurred earlier. If I wanted to know "What's the best trait a rapper should go for?" there are so many other factors that I would have to include.

Duh.

Ooh ya my b mayne, long day.

Uhhh, content then. It doesn't have to even be real deep, just interesting. Multis are nice, but are honestly not that impressive or hard to write. If you have 2/3 syllables, we cool we cool. Punchlines? Eh some are clever, but they aren't really that cool either. Good, focused lyrics are my favorite.
