To be fair, there wasn't really that much controversy at the time. I think mainly because people were expecting a video like that, so were mentally prepared for it before it came out.
I always wondered though, imagine it was Em and Rihanna acting out the couple. I think THAT would've caused Rihanna to get a lot of hate tbh.
