I'm referring of course, to the vow that D12 made way back; that the first one to make it would come back for the rest of the group.

So let's say Swifty was the first one to make it big -- do you think Em would even be nearly as relevant as he is today? Or would he be looked at as "that white guy from D12"?

Not trying to take anything away from Proof, Swifty or Kuniva when I say that unless you go out and actually look for their mixtapes, you never hear them outside of D12, despite the fact that they're all great MC's.

Interesting question. In Detroit they were all sure, Proof would have been the first to blow up. So would have been interesting to see what happened. I think, with Em's talent he surely wouldn't stay completely irrelevant. He would have got fastly more visiblity than Proof. He would have started his label under Proof one's, Proof would have fastly seen that his man is doper than himself and pushed him hardly (earning a lot, clearly). Okay, but to answer your question - he wouldn't be that relevant as today. The combination with Dre was perfect, Dre opened a lot of doors to Em. And he gave him credibility. The whole world had to respect Em, beefing with Em ---> beefing with the producer god.
