Jay-Z is a bitch

Postby Hiphopdane » Apr 21st, '11, 10:44

if this excerpt from Prodigy's new book is true:

The Time Prodigy Ran Into Jay-Z At Justins

After an H.N.I.C. promo tour throughout the Tri-State Area and down the East Coast, in October 2001 I took a bunch of my boys to Puffy’s restaurant Justin’s on Twenty-first Street in Manhattan, down the block from Soundtrack Studios. Drinking champagne while checking out the scene, the rapper Queen Pen spotted me and asked me to dance. More the type to lurk in the cut watching my surrounding, I wasn’t big on dancing, but for Queen Pen I mad an exception. While we were grindin’ on each other, she stated sucking and tongue-kissing my ear. I was a bit shocked. We’d done a song together a year or two earlier and it was strictly professional. After she molested my ear, the DJ made an announcement. “Big shout out to Jay-Z and Jermaine Dupri up in the spot. I see ya’ll!”

I walked over to my people. “Where’s Jay-Z?” I asked, surveying the shadows of Justin’s. “I don’t see him.” So we lined the front door of Justin’s on both sides. We weren’t going to let Jay-Z leave without dealing with us first. “P, we’re gonna beat the lips off Jay’s face soon as we see him,” Godfather, Nitty, and Nitty’s cousin Kiko all assured me. Kiko had a gun and he wanted to shoot Jay.

“No! It’s not that serious,” I said. “We’re just gonna beat him up. Don’t pull that gun out.” Through the crowd, I saw Jay and Jermaine walking with three bodyguards towards us. Jermaine Dupri was aware of my beef with and visibily shook, started speed walking with his bodyguard when he saw me. He quickly hightailed it out the door. Jay-Z spotted us lined up against the door waiting for him. Then from about two yards away, he extended his hand to shake mine.

“It ain’t no beef,” Jay said. “It’s just music, man. No drama.”

“Oh yeah?” I said, shaking his hand.

“I just wish you would’ve spoken to me before you said those things about me in The Source,” he said. “But it ain’t no beef, all right?”

“Yeah, okay cool,” I said, and let him walk out of the club. Keep in mind that I let him walk out. Queen Pen is my witness. I could have changed Jay’s future that night, but I chose not to. Jay put up the white flag and his cop-out made me instantly realize that he wasn’t a threat. He’s just a big ol’ stuffed animal, a camel to be exact. I got serious beef with real gangsters. Jay’s just a waste of time.

Just music? You made Prodigy look like a fool on your album which millions of people have listened to.

I can't stand when rappers act like gangsters and all, maybe they are, but it's about time they fucking grew up! Hahaha, and why did he have to mention the ear-licking incident? Sounds like SacJB telling the story

Umm.. I think it was a mature move. Ok, saying shit is never really mature, but taking hip hop to the level of pulling guns on each other when the music stops is even less mature.

Jay might be a bitch for saying that shit, but at least he was the one to make the first move to stop it somehow before someone got killed over nothing again.

I wouldn't take anything that Prodigy says as the Gospel, bare in mind this is the same dude that was an art student, who had never been in trouble in his life, that released music based on shit he never lived, got robbed God knows how many times in his own neighbourhood, got beat-up by Keith Murray on numerous occasions and took shots at Pac only AFTER he died

If it is true though then I give P propps for sticking it upto Jigga
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

Jay being a bitch is very common knowledge down here.

It first came to attention with the very last lines of 'Ether'.

You pop shit, apologize, n1gga, just ask Kiss

There's a list of embarrassing moments for Hov - the Dame Dash ROC sale, the conversation with E Money Baggs ordeal, the Fat Joe Rucker Park incident, the Un Rivera incident, hiding from 50 when he broke the Freeway deal for G-Unit/Roc to do a joint venture, calling the cops on Beanie Sigel in 2009 in Philly and many more. It's just that he has the best publicists in the game.

What you think of 50, he's the smartest person in hip hop in terms of watching and recognizing what goes on. He summed up Hov's character best when he said he runs away from real beef - look at the Jadakiss beef when he got Beanie involved, the Diplomats beef when he got Tru Life involved. I mean look at the problem he had with 50 for the best part of 2010 and when they finally ran into each other at the Home and Home tour, Jay backed down.

I said it before, the biggest reason why Hov is so disliked by fans and other artists is his character.

I'm not saying they should have shot Jay-Z or anything (of course not) but you shouldn't start fucking people up if you're not ready to meet them in person. That is just pathetic.

I think I'm gonna buy the book and read it in my summer holiday when I've finished my exams. All the excerpts so far have all been great.
