Most Iconic Hip Hop Song

Postby slimshadylappin » Apr 23rd, '11, 03:37

I am not asking what the best song is.

When I say iconic I am talking about songs that are more then songs. Songs that are so meaningful for hip hop and life that they give you shivers. Songs that will be remembered forever.

What song would you say is most iconic

THIS IS MY 500TH POST BTW :b:

Soulja Boy Ft Justin Bieber - Rich Girl

A truly iconic moment for hip hop when the most respected, best artist of the time period collaborates with a true pop legend to create such a deep, meaningful song hailed by hip hop heads & soccer moms alike as one of the greatest songs to have ever been recorded.

Changes by 2Pac
Lose Yourself by Eminem

They will be remembered with the greatest songs ever, not just rap songs. I'm not even saying they are the best rap songs. But, If hip-hop was a material, these songs are just overflowing with said material lol. They have poetry, rhythm, meaning, and the ability to basically control your emotions.

Are you for real?

He said most iconic.

'most iconic' seems to suggest that a large majority of people have heard it, and it's well known throughout the world.

Most of the world have never heard of Joell Ortiz, never mind a specific song of his.

One of the most ICONIC hip hop songs of all time...

^ Play that song in any club, pub, bar, street in the world and most people will know it and it always rings off.
