Awards mean fuck all. Not since I was 6-7 years old have I cared the slightest about all this materialistic stuff outside of the football itself (awards, merchandise etc.). Growing up as a die hard fan of my local club too, those things have never been much of an issue anyway, at least not the awards and the personal glory.

Anyways, if you consider it is only a few years ago that people joked about Bale not having been in the line up when Spurs had won a game, he has had an outstanding season. Fair play to him.

Yes he's had an outstanding season(mainly in the CL),and he's probably the most improved player this season,but that's on a personal level.
i dont even consider Bale Spurs best player this season,let alone the whole league..
