I think it would either be Eminem, Jay or Wayne.

Eminem would be mourned and then mocked in a year or less

Jay would be like Pac and Big, respected by all

and Wayne would have a shit load of unreleased material that would be terrible like after the first two post-humus albums Pac had

Add Kanye. If he died in suspicious circumstances (suicide, OD, drunk crash, etc.) there'd be tons of speculation about what happened to him since he's been kind of on the edge and had his life semi-out of control.

And no Eminem wouldn't be mocked, he might actually get the respect he deserves.

Eminem would have the most impacting death. Could possibly propell him to be considered as the best rapper of all time by general consensus.

Eminem, the stans would go completely apeshit and try to bring him back to life. Jay-Z, don't listen to him much but he'll make a difference if him and his wonderful lips leave this Earth. Idk, I don't want any of them dying anytime soon.

I'm not really sure if the HipHop world would react in the same mode as the rest. White America and the mainstream would declare him clearly the best ever. But the black community? Da real shit? Hm.

Obviously the ones that have gained quick fame and it being intensified after a sudden death.

Eminem. Respected by most of the hip-hop scene (and even more so if this happens), huge as a international star, broke a shitload of records, has singles that topped the charts for months. And maybe Jay-Z. Outside of the US anyone else barely touches the charts. They're probably also the only 2 that have quality material that can be released after.
