Your music taste is dreadful so honestly nothing you say bothers me in the slightest.

:( you...you think I have bad taste? But, but, what do I do now....?

I guess I'll start posting a bunch of dope rappers I listen to in order to validate myself and feel cool? Will that make me cool class?

The only "bad" rappers I listen to routinely are older Wayne and Drake, and maybe 50.

Other than that, it's Common, Kanye, Lupe, Blu, Nas, Jay, Em, Monch, Rakim, Tupac, Biggie, Outkast, Mos Def, etc.

Common's Be > Any of your sub-par produced arrogant, faux-intellectual bullshit rap.

I'm not saying your racist, but it is weird taht like 90% of your music is white in a black-dominated industry.

Yeah, because I think that it makes me cool, that's why I post it. NOT because that's what I actually listen to :facepalm

Thank you for bringing up production to prove you care more about that then the actual rapping. And Nothing I listen to is faux-intellectual. Nice cop out though.

Lyrics are good. It's not really a song to me, more like an interlude.

I don't like it because it's short but I'm glad they didn't make it long because the concept would have gotten stale and overdone.

Who says you can't have great production AND great lyrics? Common's Be, case in point.
I didn't say you didn't listen to it, people listen to BS gangsta rap because they think it makes them cool. And yes, it is. I'd say pretentious but you'd bitch about that being a cop out. Guess what? You saying it's a copout is a cop out.

Run along and listen to the GOAT Copywrite and steam about he'll never make it when silly inferior negros like Kanye are praised for doing nothing.

How is it pretentious at all? I'd like you to show me one example of how something from someone in my top 10, excluding Prince Ea, is pretentious. And why the fuck would I listen to underground rap to look cool? That doesn't make any sense at all. Also, why would I care if this forum thinks I'm cool? I'm cool in real life, I don't use the internet to escape reality like some people.

And lol @ you turning this into a race thing, I love when black people try to use that as an excuse.

Okay, some select lines from the first JMT song that I clicked on:

'Cause I'm chemically the reason liquid nitrogen hot

Yeah, I'm like Mark David Chapman with a Salinger book

Like the book of Revelations for the prophets in Rome

And I said you're not racist, I'm saying it seems like you just identify/nuthop other self important white rappers. I'd say the same thing to a black dude who completely ignores white rappers. Honestly, I don't think you've ever passionately (and positively) discussed a black rapper other than Cudi and maybe Biggie.

And how is that being pretentious? He's just actually putting effort into his writtens. And sorry that I would rather listen to someone who puts time and effort into being creative rather than the same old gangsta rap, and bitches and blunts and money. I don't like all white rappers. Just the good ones. I can't stand Asher Roth or Mac Miller or any of them. And I have talked about Prince Ea, Hopsin, Chino XL, J. Cole, Nas, B.o.B, Tech N9ne, Lupe Fiasco, Joe Budden, Ludacris and many others, just so happens most of my favorites are white.

Too bad me and Class both talk about Prince Ea all the time and his favorite rap lines are by Nas.

Darn, now we can't wack off to a bunch of British dudes picking words that start with N out of the dictionary. Might as well shut the website down guys.

Ahhh. You're missing the point of my statement. I'm not trying to argue with you about it. You clearly don't like the track, but arguing other shit with class is pointless. About as pointless as trying to out-write Possessed to prove your point. The back and forth between the 2 of you ruined the thread . If you want to argue musical opinions that have 0 relevance to the thread, you should go somewhere else. I mean, it's alright to a point I guess, but you both took it too far/off topic, ruining it for anyone potentially wanting to check the track out or discuss it in a civilized manner.

You clearly can't appreciate someone else's musical prefrence
If I think Rhyme Asylum is one of the dopest hip hop groups I've listened to, does that bother you?

:facepalm I'm mocking how serious your taking this thread, I don't care about RA or if you like them.

Look at the posts, it was already sidetracked and going nowhere before I even posted. I contribute more to the hip hop section in terms of valid posts and debate than the vast majority of members here, chill.

I've been chilll this whole time. I just think that the thread was unnecessarily ruined in general.
I like how you move to say how much you contribute to the forum though, it's very important.

That tends to happen a lot here...

And I haven't seen you around much, but if you browse the hiphop forum you'll see how much I contribute. i'm not trying to act like I'm super cool hip hop head or anything, I'm just saying I'm not some Mahmoud who gets off on ruining topics.

Yeah, this place hasn't been right in years, hence my lack of posting. I used to contribute mainly to the writing/audio/battle sections (*shameless plug* search my name/check my signature.)
I believe I was one of the first Rhyme Asylum fans here. & I have no idea who Mahmoud is, but I get the point.
