Exactly, thats why pretty much everything Em has done post-Recovery has just been meh, or fairly good at best. Awful at worst. He even said himself the reason he didn't like Relapse was because it was lacking in emotion a lot of the time, so fuck knows why he has gone back to this pointless spitting, which is 10 times more pointless than anything he did on Relapse. I'll be glad when he is done with Royce so he can find a new direction for his solo material.

Based on some of the leaks and the fact Havoc is on the album (he is famous for his dark beats), I think this will have the same overall feeling as Relapse which I wouldn't mind at all. Hearing Eminem on some more traditional beats is going to be amazing.

Fast Lane would have been the perfect track for a guy like Yelawolf because of his fast flow and ability to write really chill rap.

If they drop 9 songs and have 0 concepts or stories, that's pathetic. I doubt that will happen.

And I feel like there won't be (m)any features, this is a Bad Meets Evil EP, not a Shady family EP. The should drop a Re-Up 2.0 though.

Royce and Eminem have released albums regularly for more than a decade so it would surprise me if it's just a lot of random punchline-tracks. The only reason why I fear it is because I havn't heard any concept so far (not even from the "old BME").

We can only guess but I'm sure at least one of the Shady Records artists is going to be featured on the album. Most likely Yelawolf because he hasn't released anything before and maybe needs the promotion more than the others.

Those are feautures he probaly doesn't want pointless spitting on his albums.

Yeah, I agree. Fast Lane surprised me and made me anticipate the EP even more. I feared Eminem would come out with another verse full of mediocre wordplay and shouting delivery so I'm definitely happy for this track. The beat is nice too, the heavy drums remind me of the production on The Eminem Show.

He said that his new signings would help him step up his game but not until yesterday had I heard anything from him that I would consider great (since Recovery that is).

Played this on repeat for like an hour. This is real good shit.

Something that I noted is that both Royce and Em are constantly trying to outshine each other verse after verse. When one comes with a dope line, the other does the same. When one switches to a faster, more impressive flow, the other follows. At the same time both seem to have immense amounts of respect for each other, and that is noticeable on the chemistry between the two on the track.

Having 2 extraordinarily talented MC's on the mic is only going to bring the best from both.

Can't fucking wait for the rest of the songs.

What's to agree with he was being negative and didn't like it I think you replied to the wrong person.

I agreed that pretty much everything since Recovery has been garbage (and that it's because of the lack of concepts/ideas). Just read his post again, I probably should have made my response more clear. My bad.

This is absolute fire :worship: all the way through the song they are trying to outdo each other and Royce's verses are brilliant :y:
My mother started screamin, "What are you on, drugs?!?
Look at you, you're gettin blood all over my rug!" (Sorry!)
She beat me over the head with the remote control
opened a hole, and my whole brain fell out of my skull
I picked it up and screamed, "Look bitch, what have you done?!?"
"Oh my God, I'm sorry son"
"Shut up you cunt!" I said, "Fuck it!"

haven't replayed a track with Eminem on it this much since Recovery...hook is amazing
now that i think about it, Fast Lane is probably my 5th favorite track this year behind a couple Chamillionaire and Big KRIT tracks

I listened to it many times trying to forget all my prejudices: I don't like Royce so much.

I'm not disappointed at all, I think it's a good track and a good presentation for the album.
I like the hook and, after a while, I started to appreciate the beat. Em's flow is interesting, although it seems he goes too fast here and there especially at the end of the first verse.
On my opinion the verses are good, considering they are talking about nothing. The lines about Minaj, decapitation, cigarette and MJ are funny and I confess I loled when I heard "Ice, Ice, baby".
Royce used the word Unicorn and I think it's the first time I find this word in a hip hop song
Probably I'm wrong, and it was used 2000 times :sweating:
