I'd say he rapped pretty fast on a few tracks pre,during and post-Recovery so I think he's been in that phase for a bit. However, I think it's kind of hard to judge cuz despite all the leaks, we still don't have much official releases to determine, but lets think of the fast raps he's had in late 2009 and throughout 2010/11:

Rapping fast with lyrics that are actually good (Fast Lane) > shitty punchlines and rapping at a normal speed. I'd take Fast Lane Eminem any day over the other shit he's been doing. I noticed he was getting better during 2.0 Boys, and this recent song tops it which is good.

He does tend to get addicted to a certain style for a while, but I think after he works with SH and Yela some more and starts producing again, he'll switch up his style again for another album in 2012.

If he did it on every fucking track, I wouldn't like it probably. Right now I don't feel he's doing it too much. And yeah, it shows that he's got skills. Not every rapper has this ability.
