Seriously? And just when I was thinking about giving Kanye a chance. For some reason I'm not disappointed lol. Theres a good amount of producers that have people ghostwrite their shit. Reminds me of when Gillie Da Kid started dissing Weezy and said that he ghostwrote Tha Carter II. It kind of makes sense cause Wayne used to make much better songs at that time. Despite that and the fact I think Wayne is a moron, I can till listen to Carter II and enjoy it, not that I do, but there is times that I feel like it. It feels good to escape all the complexity rhyme-schemes and just vibe to shit sometimes.

Why is any worse than Eminem/Royce/Jay-Z writing for Dr. Dre?

Kanye is a producer first...rapper second.

if that was to me, i don't know why you're laughing. People in other genres have ghostwriters all the time. If you are producing beautiful tracks, like Kanye does, i don't see a problem with having help with the lyrics. Now if you don't produce and you have a ghostwriter...you are a joke lol.

There clearly is a problem simply because Kanye's a fraud, he has people behind him that write his lyrics.

Dr. Dre has had them for years and it's never been an issue because he's been upfront about it, he's never tried to sway around it. Kanye has hid this fact for forever, and it makes him a genuine fraud.

Again, nothing surprises me in this era of hip hop. You have private schooled nerds, correctional officers and an artist who's entire catalog is ghostwritten running it. Snafu.

Show me one bit of factual evidence that Kanye has had a substantial amount of his material ghostwritten and hasn't admitted it.

Everything Consequence has said holds up. He's on the credits for many of Kanye's work in the past and has simply no reason to lie when he wasn't even speaking negatively of Kanye in the interview.

But right, yeah, nothing's factual in life unless we see video proof it.

I do think a few of Ye's lines haven't been all him (as with many rappers), but to write him off as some ghostwriter-fueled rapper is idiotic. Con's probably thrown Yeezy a couple hot lines, sure, but make whole songs or albums for him? No.

And yes, he's pissed at Kanye and Q, he has all the reason in the world to lie. He feels like he's been pushed to the side for years, so he wants to make it look like he actually has done something important, like ghostwriting for platinum hit albums. Q called him out for lying.

Being on the credits proves nothing. If you looked at Em's credits, it would look like he has a ghostwriter too.

Consequence throughout his entire career has been nothing but humble and accepted his place in hip hop, he's never ever been one to step out of the boundaries. So for him to lie is clearly not in his character.

Also, he's Q-Tip's cousin, when it's family I doubt he'd cross the line so far so as to bury them.

I have seen Eminem's credits too, just like many artists, and what we have in the credits there in the songs is the artist, their producers, often some composers and musicians who contribute with instruments, we rarely ever have other rappers in the credits (unless it's features of course). That's completely different to having credits where rappers are credited and are not really featured in the song at all.

Of course he's never spoken out before, ATCQ LET him on board. Kanye LET him on board. He wouldn't bite the hand that feeds. And when his own cuz is calling him out for lying, makes you wonder...

Here's CD's credits, Con only gets vocal credits. Never does it say he's the songriter.

He had a verse on the original version, there's a video of it somewhere too.. guess he helped kanye to write his verse OR Ye took some lines from RF's verse.

Watch this interview, where Con talks about getting cut out of a GOOD Music article. He keeps asking Con if ANYTHING else happened to lead up to that, and Con just pushes it off until then end when he admits many things happened, just not between him and Kanye. Yeah, well maybe Con was pissing off a bunch of other GOOD artists and Kanye got sick of it. This whole interview makes him seem like he's only telling one side of the story.

Like it or not, You are just as bad as the Eminem stans, if not worse.

I don't think I have ever seen you say anything negative about the guy.

He may come across as a Kanye stan but he doesn't force his opinion over you. Although I think Kanye is overrated like I said in a previous thread Kanye is not giving a bad image to mainstream hip hop and that is why I have respect for him. He gives other artists a foundation to follow.

Lol.. no. He spits about the same shit every other rapper giving it a bad image does, and with just as weak lyrics sometimes.

I like Kanye to an extent but that's just untrue.. and hopefully he isn't followed.

And Kanye production is levels below Dre production.. so even though the ghostwriting is no different, that is why Dre gets a lot more listens in my book.
