Any group that released 8 albums and still can't get people to pay for them should learn the definition of the term "it's over". I don't have as much to say on the subject, since they're beyond terrible, and other artists I hate on (New Eminem, Rhyme Asylum) have actually produced good music at some point.
What are your thoughts?
Mine? Tyler The Creator's last album was pretty meh even though it was a step-up (As in, a few songs I liked, alot that I couldn't pay attention to and then some songs that made me wish my mouse cord was a noose). I would give it a 5/10.
Delivery wise, I really dislike him. He puts this forced rasp on his voice that becomes so over the top when it peaks that it gave me a head-ache halfway through the album. I started fucking gagging, no joke.
Flow-wise, well...he's just kinda boring. It works for his "haunted" style I guess, but he's always so slow, and not slow as in "chill" but slow as in close to fucking Giggs.
Lyrically he's nothing special even though he has some witty quotables far in between his bitchography.
Production wise they are generally FUCKING AWFUL but they have times where it works. Their best one by far is Yonkers. A good portion of their beats sound like they just went wild with FL Studio starter drum kits and a dirty synthesizer. They literally sound like an Americanized version of Grime. I recognize how original and different from the mainstream they are in contrast to how overexposed they're getting but so much of it is just so under-produced, Jesus.
This is just speaking on Tyler The Creator and he's the best in the group, so speaking them as a collective...yeah. I kinda see the appeal but personally I'm irritated by alot of it.
