That's why I said I don't dislike gangster rap, I just like it the least.
You think your personal attacks make up for what you lack?

No one else is going to mention what genres they don't particularly like, or are we all going to sit here with thumbs up our asses being politically correct and not trying to hurt each other's feelings

I'm really not a fan of any kind of rap with a purely religious focus. It could have the best lyricism ever, an amazing beat and an epic flow but I would still be put off by the subject matter to the point that I cannot listen to it...if that fits in.

Nas, Pun, and G Rap are more like mafioso, doing it for the subject matter. I think gangsta rap is more trying to pull off the persona that you are what you talk about and that I don't like.

I dislike D-Pryde's thing. That mainstream crossover BS where you rap over mostly mainstream shit and feed off other people's success.

why would you write off the whole genre? I don't listen to it much, but i have learned some good words from a few nerdcore rappers. guys like Prince EA are the best of both worlds to me.

I'm not surprised at your response because it's a very fledgling genre. Got a lot of bullshit in it, as you say it's the genre of rap all the nerds think they can make so a lot of it is just scrawny faggots all like "lol world of warcraft". BUT. There is some decent stuff in there.

I always liked this track a lot. He's decent but this is easily his best song to me.

You could also consider MC Lars a nerdcore rapper, and he can be great but he can also be really shit.

This track is brilliant satire:

Lars is definately very hit and miss though, don't get it twisted. The guy hasn't really been relevant from 2009 onwards and I aint heard anything from him since then, which is fine by me.

Another very overlooked one is MC Frontalot who is actually very skilled in flow and shit like that. This song is pretty off the wall.

My roommates play Childish Gambino all day, and I've warmed up to him. He's not exactly nerdcore, but is pretty much known to appeal to hipsters and shit and has nerdy references. I'm sure a lot of you hate him, but he's not all bad.
