Someone who creates a company as big and successful as Apple or Microsoft can't possibly be stupid, especially when it involves creating software and computers.

iPad 2 is better than all of those for musicians. Anything else? iPad falls behind (drastically). If you're making music though, you can run a synth (like a 1500 Korg) on your iPad for $25, while you use it as a keyboard and produce the drums on your iPod all while mixing on the Mac.

It's the new generation of music making, and it happens to belong to Apple.

Otherwise though, I agree that the iPad is behind its time in comparison to others (even if they were the "revolutionary introduction".
