Soul Khan

Postby ThomasAguanis » May 12th, '11, 03:16

If you've ever heard of Soul Khan, it's probably due to battle rapping. Khan is easily one of the best "top tier" battle rappers today. He recently took a break from battling to focus on music. As many people know, most battle rappers suck at making music. Khan is an exception. His music is purley hip hop and is definitely worth checking out. He released a free album called "Soul Like Khan" and recently dropped the "Acknowledgement EP". He is also part of a group called The Brown Bag All Stars and they are releasing "Brown Bag Season Vol. 1" on May 17th. Below are some of his best songs. I'm sure many of you will become fans (if you weren't already) of Soul Khan after hearing a few off these tracks.

Fahrenheit ft. Akie Bermiss

Soulstice

Soulstice II

Black Hammer, White Lightning ft. Marv Won

That is a stand out song. The video is well done too. The few songs I've heard from The Brown Bag Allstars have been promising. Their album (it's apparently 2 discs) should be great.

The word swag should never be in the same sentence as Soul Khan. That's not what his music is about. If you listened to it, you'd understand that. Actually, based on your 2 posts in this thread, I don't think Soul Khan is for you. Stick to Wayne and Nelly.

Soul Khan and Hollow Da Don are basically my two favorite rap battlers. Soul Khan's music is dope, too.

You wouldn't say that if you've heard him rap. He sounds exactly like Vanilla Ice, same concepts and delivery. Flo Rida flow and Lil Wanye lyricism. Picture a white guy watching Hustle & Flow then picking up the pen. Yep, you've pretty much got it. Now you know why he listens to fruits.

Loosely translated to: I'm going to type some words that I will force in to obvious multie syllable rhymes; add a few unwitty similies and call them punchlines. I will then proceed to tell you--in a rhyming fashion--how much better I am than you. While doing this, I will not speak once. I will be typing. This is a text battle, after all.

I make everyone look bad purely by posting in the same thread as them. I can't help it. I am amazing.

But text battling? Really?   It's 2011.
