I could write a whole essay on why I dislike the anime (note the anime, not the series in general), though I'll just leave off by saying it was filled to the brim with pointless filler (guys shitting their pants and taking 5 episodes to charge up and have a 5 minute fight) and most people praising it nowadays do it out of nostalgia.

Good point. Pretty much agree with everything you said except even doing so, I still love it and think it's by far the best anime (the whole series). I love it even more for nostalgia. I don't know why its in my avy though, it seems like every phase I go through, I celebrate afterwards. Moved on to One Piece. Seen the first 30 episodes, good shit.

Great OP is the shit, though what I mean was reading the comic, OP is also filled to the brim with filler, but is great watching until the Enies Lobby arc, than the animation turns to shit. I would recommend reading it first, but I know the first few chapters aren't of high quality, so it might turn people off. And yeah I love the DB series, though who ever made GT should die in a fire.

Lol at this conversation, but yeah GT sucked horse shit, and I didn't like how the whole show revolved around Goku, not to mention all the discrepancies and inconsistances the series had with the original. What annoyed the most was how they tried to cater to both DB and DBZ fans, by trying to make it about fun, carefree adventure, yet trying hard to maintain that frantic action that DBZ was reknowned for.

Though I will be honest, and say that the series took a huge decline post Frieza saga, and didn't like how Piccolo became a babysitter.

Word to OP, though, I like that series more than DB tbh. Whatever you do, avoid Bleach and Naruto like the plague, those two series are an enormous waste of time, and should be treated like barber shop hair, meaning being scraped into garbage bins and burned.

This is all very true. I still love it though. You should go check out Kai, they cut out all the bullshit so that the story moves faster per episode, updated the dialogue and voices and everything. It's quite good, though it will obviously never compare to the old ones for most people (myself included) because of nostalgia. I still think Ocean Dub Vegeta was the best voice easily, but what you gonna do.

Still have the movie tapes (the Brolly one and Janemba one lol), and I always preferred Sabat's voice, even though he sounded like an old man. Drummond's fit him better pre Android saga, and had that megalamoniac attitude patted down, not to mention he's the originator of the over 9000 meme.

I agree about the megalomaniac thing, that's very true. I dunno I just thought he sounded more menacing with that voice. Sabat's voice is powerful but it sounds like you would expect, Ocean Dub voice made him sound perhaps less obvious. Plus it was much more awesome on the occasions he switched to angry from that cocky arrogant voice, whereas with Sabat he pretty much just always sounds angry lol.

As for censoring, actually from what I can see there is less censoring, for example when Frieza kills Krillin in the Kai version i'm pretty sure there was tons more blood and shit when he stabbed him with the horn than was censored out of the original broadcasts back in the day. I'd have to double check though, been a while since I watched it.
