If Em did that, he'd basically be "admitting" that he's partly to blame for homophobic bullying.

So I don't think he'd do that.

No he wouldn't. That's like saying he's admitting he's partly to blame for psychopaths who misinterpret his music with "Stan".

It's not saying he's 'to blame' - it's acknowledging the perception and using the uncomfortable / gray area to create an interesting piece of art.

Fact is, he isn't partly to blame, he would simply be further showing the true intent of his work and answering critics or people who misunderstand it, in an artistic way. Which is exactly what he did with "Stan". Under the guise of storytelling, he revealed himself.

And above all else, it'd just be a fascinating story to portray lyrically which somebody like Em could turn into a masterpiece. Beyond the reality of who he is and what the song means politically, just as a piece of art alone it's worth doing. And in art you should be a total fascist. Nothing else matters more than the idea.

It would have been a decent idea in the MMLP era, but it would have led to accusations that it's too similiar to Stan as well. Maybe Em Show could have put it in at a push, but even so.

And if he did it any time after that it just wouldn't work lol

It's just an idea. Like I said, just a fantasy idea.

I'm not discussing it practically here as if I'm gonna get in touch with Em's people and persuade him to do it lmao so the album time-slots etc. is irrelevant.

Just about the idea.

Actually I am straight.

Why would you have to be gay to think of this idea? people are retarded lmao. I thought of it because it's a huge paradox, like most of Eminem's best work.

The Marshall Mathers LP is one long (purposeful) contradiction. 'Did he mean it / didn't he mean it' / 'Is he serious? / is he joking...'. As well as him performing with Elton John, the most openly gay artist on Earth - in front of GLAAD protestors.

So, I thought of the idea because in picturing what he could do with Elton John, a song addressing an uncomfortable, realistic issue around sexuality and Eminem's controversial status as a homophobe at the time could produce something fascinating.

I also thought of it because like on "Love the Way You Lie" - you have Rihanna, one of the most public victims of domestic abuse in recent times singing the chorus to a realistic song about domestic violence. That creates a conflict, which gives the song a more interesting dimension.

So there you have some of the thought process. It's entirely artistic. Nothing to do with taking a cock up my ass. It would just be an interesting batch of conflicts.

It would be such an interesting little ball of confusion at this point for the morons who STILL do not get Eminem's intent or past intent COUGH Pitchfork and think he's homophobic. Because...

- You have the story of a gay kid who likes Eminem's music (and understands it) yet is being bullied by kids who don't understand it and are using the music as justification for anti-gay bullying... and then he kills himself because of that. As a result, of the bullying, which is a result of misunderstanding. And the guy narrating is the guy these idiots think is the homophobe to begin with and the guy singing the chorus is one of the most openly gay artists alive. That's a lot of conflict / confusion for those tards.

I just think that'd be interesting.

Pretty gay.

But I'd like to hear it just to see what he could turn it into......still, pretty fucking gay.
"This dude doing this interview wants me to spin a few,
Lyrics while I tie my tennis shoes in the nude
A romantic interlude in a livin’ room,
In an inner tube with a dude with a bit of lube
Fuck that I’m sniffin’ glue, sippin' gin & juice,
And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,
You better pay me for my bars like your rent is due,
Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."

Once again - not a quest to get this to Eminem lmao. JUST AN IDEA.

Are people so simple-minded now that they can't talk about ideas in an open and theoretical way. It's just about the idea itself and how Em could execute it...

Forget when he could do it, if he could do it now / then, or anything to do with practicality lmao. It's just a discussion of an idea. Nothing more, nothing less.

I honestly think this could make an awesome song  I hope he chooses some cool concepts when he gets around to making a new album.

Its true that Eminem hasnt expanded his music beyond himself and that is pretty frustrating as well as the fact that his lyrics have been misinterpreted. But a song like this would translate to - "i was joking all along. I love gay people" which is incorrect.

Eminem does talk faggotry in jest but in reality he is not PRO gay and the Elton thing was just to show he aint AGAINST it either. The misinterpretention.... which he will probably re-enforce when discussing the song will be "na, gayness is fine. I'm cool with it and this is to help anyone who has had to deal with it" which i feel is bullshit. Not enough people stand up to defend open thinkin about gayness when its pushed down our throat as universally morally correct without help from the biggest musical icon of our time. In actual fact, Eminem should be going in the opposite direction.
