Thoughts?

I have never been big on Elzhi's music, as a matter of fact I have never given any of his albums a chance, but I decided to download this after having heard one of the singles. Not only is this a great tribute to one of the best albums of all time but it is also a great continuation with his own personal touch and remixes of the original beats. In other words it is not a complete rip off.

It has the exact same type of vivid imagenary and you can clearly hear how he has tried to capture the magic of Nas' rhymes of the original album so to speak.

I loved the tape. Elzhi is a very underrated rapper, he's only rated by other rappers usually, a rapper's rapper if you will. Lyrically it was really good, I loved Elmatic.

It's excellent. I love how they switched up the beats and added their own touch to it. It'd be great if he was on Shady Records.

I like how he remade every song except "One Time 4 Your Mind". Even Elzhi skips that track.

You HAVE to give The Preface a listen. If you thought Elmatic was good, just wait until you hear this.

As for the mixtape I thought it was pretty dope, nice idea and definitely worth the listen.

Yeah, I have only heard positive things about that album so I think I'm gonna give it a chance someday. I see Black Milk has produced almost every single track on it so really there's no excuse not to listen to it.
