Master Chief wrote:WARNING! A BIG FUCKING POST AWAITS TO TAKE A GOOD PORTION OF YOUR TIME BELOW...is that he ruins songs on his albums with his features. Let me break it down starting with Absolute Power because Anghellic is flawless in this aspect. Limited features and Grant Rice did decent, the girl on the hook of Suicide Letter killed it, & Bakarii, Short Nitty did fairly good on This Life (Anghellic).
Ok, now this issue pretty much starts on Everready so Absolute Power's features are acceptable. I'm still gonna break it down. First of all, every track with Krizz Kaliko is fantastic because his hooks are one of the best from any artist ever imo and he's a great rapper too so

for Tech. On Gunz Will Bust, Skatterman & Snug Brim ruined it, Snug Brim in particular, at least Money Hungry was acceptable. Once again, every verse Kutt Calhoun does on a Tech song ranges from decent to amazing so I have no problem with him on Bianca's and Beatrice's. Now, D12 on She Devil...Bizzare fucking ruined that song like usual. Kuniva was okay, Mr. Porter was good. Proof's verse was short but sweet & Swifty had the best verse. But, the song was badly injured by Bizzare. Overall the album was WAYYYY better than Killer, Bad Season & Everready feature-wise.
On to Everready. The most praised Tech N9ne album starts promising with two amazing, amazing, verses by Tecca Ninna and a powerful, pump-up, "fuck shit up" hook. Then...OMGGGG a third verse. I can't wait to see how Tech's gonna finish this!!!!! But, then he says "Man I swear, the Nina will never love them, plug them/When I'm rolling with Skatterman and Snug Brim!" and it goes far downhill. I mean...these mothafuckers KILLED this song worse than Bizzare did to Fight Music & Words Are Weapons. Riot Maker starts off as a solid 10 and ends on with a 7.5, RIP to what could have been the ultimate Tech N9ne song. The next non Krizz Kaliko or Kutt Calhoun song is Jellysickle.

E-40....FUCK YOU. E-40's verse is so fucking terrible, he's the reason why I'd say Jellysickle is the worst song on the album. Not even Tech's verses can save this song. My World is next. Brotha Lynch Hung did just as good as Tech which is pretty impressive. Now, of course Dalima is gonna sound inferior after two amazing verses with double-time flow but I think he was unnecessary & just a filler. His children on The Rain was a very interesting, clever and ballsy concept. He pulled it off well

, Overall Everready is not as bad feature-wise as Killer or Bad Season but Everready could have been a perfect album with JUST him on Riot Maker & Jellysickle. Everready is still his 2nd best album tho.
Killer is next and

@ the terrible features & the amazing songs ruined by features. Okay so the first feature song is Wheaties. Personally, I'm not too fond of the beat or the hook but Tech saves everything as usual....BUT he's not alone because Shawnna was nothing short of impressive and amazing, especially for a female rapper. So, Killer starts off good with a classic like "Like Yeah" & and a great song like "Wheaties". Next is Get The Fuck Outta Here which has a horrendous beat imo & Tech had a decent verse, nothing special. The only thing worse than the beat is The Popper. His verse is just as bad E-40's on Jellysickle but this time Tech didn't have two great verses to attempt to save it. Paul Wall was bad but not as bad as The Popper, which is not saying much. Blackboy...well, Brother J was good, I guess, still a filler imo. Ice Cube always delivers so even though his verse was nothing complex his powerful deliver always sucks you in. Song not ruined

(#thankyoubasedgod). Scarface is on the next joint "Pillow Talkin". He did good so no complaints. Tech...I don't have to say anything, he always works his magic. Next up is "Paint A Dark Picture", a really dark song with a haunting hook. On the song is Dirtball (lol?) and he did decent imo Tech should have done this one all alone. On to the sequel of the classic Tech N9ne song on Anghellic, Psycho Bitch II. This song features Liquid Assassin, he starts his verse with a great double-time flow but after that the rest of the verse is decent. T9's verses were amazing, criminally good. His flow > *, so it really fucks me up when Tech destroys a song and gets lazy so he gets someone to jump in and deliver a sub-par verse compared to his. The girl on Poisonous' hook did good, sadly Tech's verses were kind of sub-par. Still decent tho. Now, Kutt C. always delivers but this song "Too Much" deserves a mention because Kutt Calhoun savagely fucked this beat as badly as Tech did, which is saying A LOT. *Insert Killer 2*...."Drill Team", a feature heavy with the infamous Snug Brim, who once again delivered a bad verse. Tech had a good verse but that's not enough to save this song from Snug Brim & BG Bulletwound who both have annoying voices, babble nonesense and rhyme monosyllabic garbage. Thank (Based) God for Krizz Kaliko who did most of the saving with his verse. Still, Drill Team is another filler on this album. "Beat You Up", pretty much the same thing as Drill Team but this song would not be partially saved like Drill Team was. Everyone except Tech (who had a sub-par verse) sucked major cock, Lebowski coming on top. Next up, is the song that angered me the most on this whole album "Let's Go". I fucking love the beat. One of the best on the whole album. Tech raped it & Kutt did his thing. Then, I skip it because the third guy (Mistah F.A.B.?) has that same annoying voice that Snug Brim, Skatterman and etc. have. He also has the same boring rhyming and the same boring, basic flow. Another possibly fantastic song turned into just decent song. Next is "Seven Words". The subject matter is not my cup of tea but it's Tech N9ne so he makes it better. It's a chill song. Krizz's hook > *, a good song until the infamous Skatterman comes in. He doesn't ruin this song but his verse is not good. It's not like the song was anything special so he can't really ruin it unless his verse is as bad as his verse on Riot Maker

, Now, we go to the awful "I Am Everything" featuring Hed PE & Kottonmouth Kings. Tech N9ne has (obviously) the best verse but the hook is fucking terrible and so is the beat. The guy right after Tech N9ne had one of the worst verses I have ever fucking heard in my goddamn life. Jesus christ. The 2nd guy was boring as shit. The 3rd guy (I'm assuming, a member of KK) bored me too but to a less extent compared the 2nd guy. The 4th guy (again assuming, he's a member of KK) had the best verse out of the guests but his verse was still bad. And after that, there's no more non-Krizz Kaliko (good) features on Killer. Tech's motto for Killer was "All Killer, no filler"...wrong. And it sucks that for the most part it's not really Tech's fault. But, I can't really trash an album that has gems like "One Good Time", "Like Yeah", "Happy Ending", "Holier Than Thou", "Too Much" & "Hope For A Higher Power". Also, notice how the songs I mentioned with features only have Kutt Calhoun & Krizz Kaliko

, Killer though is one of the best (if not the best) double-album I've ever heard.
IMO the best Tech album...KOD is not feature heavy and for the most part, the features are acceptable but it's a Tech N9ne album so of course it has its fair share of garbage features. Starting with "Demons"

, one of the best KOD hooks & has an amazing T9 verse. But, of course Three Six Mafia ruined the song. KILLED IT. Not so much DJ Paul, his verse was mediocre. Juicy J is responsible for the murder of what could have been three perfect songs in a row (Show Me A God, this, & Blackened The Sun). Juicy J's verse was pretty retarded & kinda off-topic. Especially when he had a verbal spasm with the word n
.igga. On top of that his rhyming is terrible, a step below DJ Paul. Brotha Lynch Hung is dope as fuck so "Strange Music Box" was a success feature-wise. Next up is B. Boy, and I'm so thankful that Big Scoob stepped it up. It was a decent verse which is a breath of fresh air coming from Big Scoob. BUT, Skatterman just straight up sucks dick so there's no way we can escape a awful verse from him. The only good thing from his verse is Tech N9ne when he says "STRANGE!". Kutt C. is dope as fuck, so thank god for his presence on this song to balance out Skatterman's faggot-ass. The last guy is Bumpy Knuckles which is Skatterman 2.0 with a better voice and more energy. He was acceptable. Tech killed everyone with his letter B overload. A great song not ruined

, "Hunterish" is another good song. Irv Da Phenom is a good artist, Tech should associate himself with him more. On to "Horns". Tech N9ne delivers a top 10 verse on the whole KOD but can't he go ahead and write another one to replace Prozak? The dude's voice is really fucking annoying. He sounds like he should be singing emo rock. I mean yeah his rhyming is great, I guess... but his voice has no energy. It's like the guy has no soul. The 3rd guy (King Gordy) had good rhyming but what he was talking about was really stupid. He was trying to hard to be controversial by calling Jesus a fucking fag (that likes to dress in drag?). Horns was most definitely ruined. Next up, we have "It Was An Accident" feat. Alan Wayne. Both Tech and him had good verses over this eerie beat. The last non-Krizz Kaliko feature on this album is the girl on the hook of K.O.D's title track. Really good

Last but not least we have "Bad Season", this is what inspired me to write all this. For fuck's sake every single verse Tech has on this is nothing less than great. The mixtape was held back from being amazing by the features. "Sex To The Beat" has the Strange Trio: Tech N9ne, Krizz Kaliko & Kutt Calhoun who always kill it. This is no exception but of course Tech likes to ruin shit. Bizzy like most of the rappers Tech associates himself with, has an annoying voice, has awful rhyming and raps nonesense. "Sex To The Beat" was saved by the Strange Trio but it would have been a lot better without Bizzy. "No More Music By The Suckas" has surpisingly decent features. Black Vain & Oobergeek did their thing, but of course if replaced with Tech the song would've been a bigger success. Judging by his verse on this would've been the best song on Bad Season. Now, "Bad Season" (song) was the first song to be released from this mixtape. It came out with just him & Kaliko. IT WAS PERFECT LIKE THAT TECH N9NE. Why do you have to add a guy (Nesto) that does nothing but drag the song down with a bad verse?! "Somethin' To See" was a success. Irv Da Phenom is a dope rapper & singer so I'm glad he's getting featured by Tech. "Livin' Like I'm Dyin" was good I guess but at this point as a Tech N9ne fan, I wanna hear more Tech N9ne. Ces Cru did alright but they're just there as fillers. Kutt C. is still the shit tho. "Down For The Block" was decent despite Big Scoob and his messy-ass, terrible, aimless verse. The rest did good but it's an annoying me that Tech is getting lazy so he features people. Despite Kutt & Jay Rock being dope, we wanna hear Tech N9ne. The last featured song is "Lick Your Teeth". Irv Da Phenom is good once again. But, it's irritating me that Tech N9ne isn't doing that many solo songs. Now, I know that I said good things for some of the features but that doesn't take away from the fact that compared to whatever Tech N9ne verse was on there with it, it's inferior. So, this tape is
just good. Overall, the features were mostly decent/good but the fact that the mixtape is half feature, some wack as fuck drags it down.
Sorry, for the abnormally huge post but this has been bothering me for a long time and I wanted to share my opinion on this issue but I knew that if I did that I was gonna write a fuckload. Today, I finally got the patience to write this super essay.
So, what I'm saying is that Tech N9ne albums would be straight classics (KOD & Everready are classics tho) if it weren't for the fucking horrendous features. Killer being the prime example. Bad Season being the example of a feature overload.
