It's not the best album ever made (I exaggerated), but I copped it and I'm glad I did. It's as good as his previous efforts, if not better. I really like the electronic/ish production.

The admin said it so I'm raising my personal rating of this album from 6.5 back to 8.5.

I think you're the only one that thinks this...everyone else seemed to hate it. Granted, I liked it and didn't think it was as bad as people made it out to be, but I think it his weakest album, but still good.

Don't hate lovely sir, I like it because my main music taste revolves around techno and "Words I Never Said" made the album for me. Also, the production on "Break The Chain" was amazing.

I normally don't judge an album based on the production, but since I never expect "superior intellect" verses from Lupe, the combination of decent lyrics on techno-ish beats really made this a decent album for me.

@Bistnal : That's the thing, I always considered him an average artist. This is the first music from him I genuinely enjoy for the 'Music' itself, not just the content of the song. The production sold it for me, honestly.

Your post has to be atleast this long before I find you a credible source of an opinion to follow.

I couldn't really enjoy them because the music didn't touch me (lol). Lyrically, they were superior, I won't deny that. This album I enjoy for a whole new reason; I enjoy this music for the music and the lyrics, not just one aspect of the songs. Food & Liquor was good, and I actually bought it, but The Cool didn't really hit me right. Like I said, the production makes a difference to me when it's as emphasized as it is on his music. Complex beats with a lot going on can make or break a song for me, which is why I love everything about Slug. His beats are so simple they don't distract from the important part: lyrics.

Oh, I won't write that much because... Well, fuck you. :'(

I have the same feeling with The Blueprint 3 actually, I don't think it's better than his better albums, but I don't think it's as bad as some people say and the production also makes the album for me.

Completely agree here, its not his best, but it's really enjoyble to listen, i still don't understand why do people hate it so much. As for Lasers, yesterday a gave the album a proper listen, and i really enjoyed it, there was only 4 songs that i didn't liked.
