Artille - Road of Faith (Produced by YoungO)

Postby Artille » May 26th, '11, 20:38

Hey all, this is my first time posting any audio music here. I posted a few written verses last year, but that's about it. Anyways, in that years time I got a mic and now I'm posting my first full audio track. This song is called "Road of Faith" and it is produced by YoungO. Mastering was done by Noble. Please check it out and give honest feedback. I appreciate it, download link below:

lol, the producer has a funny name Young0 lmao, he did quite a good job, he needs to mix his beats better. you, I like that style you got going on, kinda like adding melody to a robot. cuz the flow is controlled, very well structured, but you sound a bit monotone, where's the emotion man??... thats important.

as for the song, this was brilliant. everything technique-content-wise is great. just work on your mixing, and on your delivery.

I'll be honest with you, your mixing made it hard to enjoy. Your voice was too loud on the beat, and felt like it was recorded without much of a process.

The song itself was alright. It wasn't bad by any means, but your lack of emotion was emphasized by the bored flow. Lyrically, it wasn't special, but also not bad.

It's not bad for a beginner. Better than my first stuff, and I hope to see you improve.

Thanks for all of the constructive feedback. The mixing/mastering was done by Noble, not myself. I will post another song soon with my mixing, I realized after I dropped this song that mixing is something I need to learn and improve on. Honestly, the only reason I followed the rules is because I'm a mod on LilWayneHQ.com and we have a studio section too where I created similar rules lol. Expect more music soon as well as me staying active in this section.

Your flow is good, nice and fluent. Your lyrics are eh...not my style...leaves me wondering if you are a g.. lol(lyrics got much better as the song went on, more true and about you) anyway, shit had my head bobbin. Your delivery needs work, try to be less mono tone and ad some real emotion in it. IT's a tough thing to do at first but you just need a little practice thats all. And yeah the micing is not so good, it sounds like your vocals are just on top of the beat, rather than mixed with the beat if you get what im saying.

All in all this was pretty decent and pretty good for a newbie, keep it up man! check out my stuff, got a LP in the album section and a few songs here on the main page. :y:
