Artists that just clicked?

Postby dead prez » May 28th, '11, 02:54

when you didn't think that you'd be a fan of them from the get go.

You know the one that isn't in normally in your music taste but just tickles your fancy too much for you not to acknowledge them and become a fan, I never thought that I'd be a fan of Dessa, especially since I was used to Hardcore NY Hip Hop at the time I checked her music out, but I love her music. It also expanded my horizons and made me a fan of POS and appreciate other types of Hip Hop similar to them.

Kid Cudi. I hated him at first just like everyone else but when I listened to him and gave him a chance I fell in love.

Bekay, J. Cole, Sadistik, Spoonfull

Those are the ones that had me hooked from the first tape I heard.

ever since then, my outlook on life has never been the same (for the better of course!)
How can hip-hop be dead if Wu-Tang is forever?

Same, never hated him though I just ignored him & wrote him off. Then I heard him on Welcome To Heartbreak & I Do My Thing and was fucking amazed by how good he sounded (probably because I used to listen to those songs while I was high all the time) so I checked him out. He makes great, chill, feel good, smoke a blunt to music. Kid Cudi is the new age Nate Dogg.

inb4 offended old school fans telling me it's too soon
