Fuck another one gone.

RIP to one of the pioneers. He was the original Godfather of Rap.

There would be no Q-Tip, Talib Kweli, Mos Def or Common without Gil Scott.

So much of Hip hop's first complete album was influenced by GSH too. RIP. The best sample of GSH.

Huh, RIP. I really don't know much of his stuff, but him and Kanye were buds. Kanye sampled him on a bunch of tracks, and I know he used Flashing Lights samples a couple time for his own stuff.

I've heard this guys name in a song before and now it's driving me fucking crazy from which song. I keep hearing his name being rapped in my head over and over again.

Gil Scott Heron - NY is killing me f. Nas (Remix) is an insane remix, I just love it.... Too bad this guy had to pass away, but, hey, we all die, I just hope he is resting in peace. He will live on through his poetry.
