He raps different on every album and how is that disturbing?

I really liked this style tbh :) , but yeah, he's not living up to to being one of the most versatile rappers to do it.

Relapse, Recovery, This album.

Probably the most differing styles you can imagine, in 3 years. Am I imagining this?

I was talking more like at one time, like Relapse was pretty versatile , Recovery I dont think was as much tbh. That being said, you're right, in 3 three years that's a extremely versatile.

But it kind of seems like his versatility isn't showing as much.

I think he's being criticised for being too versatile! He doesn't want to do the same stuff he did in 99, or in 2002, or in 2009. Like creamy says, he obviously could do that but he is an artist and he's trying new things. I think at 39 (or 38? i dunno) that's quite a brave move.

I hear ya, and I like how he's trying new things. I was just expressing my opinion on his current style and how versatile he is at one time.

I really don't know how to word what I'm saying too well.

Definitely. This just sounds like a better version of Recovery and/but "the shouting" is still present (more or less).

Lighters is the only song that interests me (given that there don't appear to be lame punch lines and t might actually have a CONCEPT), and even that sounds pretty shitty.

Life must suck for someone like you. By any chance, do you wear Jack Skellington hoodies all the time, skinny black jeans, have a lip piercing and spiky hair covered with gel?

You are running out of things to complain about, and the shit you say is stupid. No, is not stupid because I disagree with it, but because it's bullshit.

What, do you feel like a badass for being pessimistic all the time, and using ridiculous language that basically kills any credibility you have?

Dude.

What's this ridiculous language I use that you speak of? Your use of language isn't all that, either. Trust me.

I don't feel cool for not liking Eminem's rapping. It sucks. Eminem thinks that mirroring the drums, rapping as fast as he can, and using toilet humor/childish wordplay is dope. His voice is completely lifeless. How is that even a person? Sounds like he's about to cough up a lung.

As for the other Stans who gave me a negative response, keep denying that Eminem can't flow for shit these days.

Did you like Relapse?

You all say that he is just falling off.

Enjoy what you get now then, because when he is gone, you'll all be down. Listen to Lighters.

first of all i do not post much cause if someone else says what i'm thinking why should i bother repeating? but i just want to say that some of you really do not know to apreciate what em is bringing to the rap game...u always keep saying he should do this he should do that he should sing like this like that and just fucking forget to apreciate his beautiful music.Sure criticism never killed anybody and we should always form an honest oppinion and not be blinded by our feeelings but come on some of u just hate on it for the pure simple fact of hating...recovery was meh relapse was ruined by accents post recovery work is weak no good structure or rhyming no actual content just punchlines rapping about nothing.....and a lot more...u did not even hear hell and u start again...weak tracks fucking annoying voice keeps shouting just a lil bit better than recovery but that was trash so the dude fell off....wait listen to the tracks in their full version and after that tear the man a new one....lighters could be a great track above the law too some sound really great others maybe not as good but still worthy......i really hope u will start seeing the posivites too cause it's not good to always look for the bad parts...I liked all his albums i admit some were better than others but i grew up with eminem he taught me it's ok to say what u think...for me he'll always be one of the greats....

I think you don't post as much because you forgot how to use paragraphs, lmao. I agree, people hate just to hate. What I don't get is that recovery was well received on this board, then the long it was out the more hate there was. And the exact opposite happened with relapse.

The snippets sound pretty good.

Especially "Welcome 2 Hell". Em's flow / structure there sounds class, "Dick Dastardly of audacity" (if that's what he said?) is a great line. Sounds like he's definitely a lot more witty on this EP. Which is the thing I've really been missing and wanting back. Genuine wit.

Problem is, his subject-matter sounds so repetitive it's unbelievable. I mean, I find it pretty funny how he intentionally goes overkill on things like abuse towards women and even after 12 years he's begun hammering that nail in harder than ever again

But even so, seems like he's talking about it in EVERY fucking song. Every other line is about how he doesn't need females no more, how they're all sluts etc. which, again, I don't really mind as long as everything he's saying is witty and well-done.

It's just, given these song titles, seems an awful fucking waste to just spend the whole time rapping about the same-old (same-old to him).

I mean, with "Welcome 2 Hell" for example, why can't they go with the concept more (even though they probably titled these songs after or, randomly or something). But can you imagine if you LITERALLY were welcomed into 'hell'. With Em and Royce describing the fire, torture and madness around them, and laughing and reveling in it like two daemon rhymers. Imagine what they could do with a concept like that lyrically, if they committed to it. Instead they just keep trading off random shit.

You could probably swap the verse contents of every song.
