Recommend me some TV shows where...

Postby dR3 » Jun 4th, '11, 23:23

...the episodes are connected and they make you want to know what happens in the next episode ASAP. Simply put, TV shows you can easily get hooked on.

For example, Dexter or Prison Break. Would be nice if you explained what the show is about as well. Thanks!

Grey's Anatomy? It's a medical drama, but hmm.. well it's contains also elements of comedy, and the episodes are connected, first season has 9 episodes only, so you can check it out and find out yourself if you like it or not. I love it tbh

Smh.. I've watched like 3 seasons of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, but it got boring.. Lost confused me too much in the end. Prison Break was good until the end of the 3rd season. Never watched Dexter or Californication.

Breaking Bad.

In just one sentence, it's about a chemistry teacher who finds out he has cancer, so he decides to start cooking meth to set his family for life before he dies.

The story is amazing, cliffhangers at the end of almost every episode, the psychology of the characters is amazingly well written and it also has this kinda wacky supporting character who adds the small needed hints of comedy.

Even the intro is the sickest I've ever seen:

@ Hadez
I've seen a lot of people praising 24, so I think I'm gonna give it a try.

@ Scarr
I've seen the entire Heroes series, I've watched a few episodes of The Sopranos and didn't like them, Lost kinda got too confusing for me after the 3rd season (I think). I will check the others you mentioned.

@ Spider
Is that all what it really is about? Selling meth? Give me more insight, describe your favorite episode or something.

More suggestions are welcomed. :y:

Breaking Bad is the greatest show ever. I hate life everyday knowing I need to still watch season 3

It's a great show Dr3, trust us. The lead actor won Best Lead role at the Emmys for the first 2 seasons (maybe the 3rd)

If you enjoyed Prison Break and dont mind watching 162 hours of TV 24 is simply the best. It does have its flaws but if you can find the first season....

Can't really point out a favorite episode, watched the last season months ago (new season is starting in July), but more than that I really don't wanna spoil it in any way. There's so much more to it, what I said is basically just the starting point of the first episode. The guy is a chemistry teacher, always lived by the rules and now he tries to cook & sell drugs and break into their world. How well do you imagine that works out?

Oh, and the acting is absolutely flawless.

Weeds - I've watched only the first season, and found the show very boring, but i don't know, you may like it.

Kyle XY - Like weeds i've only watched just one season, but i really enjoyed it.

Kyle XY is an American television series with a science fiction premise and mystery-drama style. The central character is a teenaged boy (Matt Dallas) who awakens naked in a forest outside Seattle, Washington, with no more knowledge or abilities than a newborn. He is taken in by a family and given the name Kyle. The series follows Kyle as he tries to solve the puzzles of who he is and why he has no memory before that day. Just as strange, he lacks a belly-button. Although set in present-day Seattle, the series was filmed in the Vancouver, British Columbia, area.

Sons Of Anarchy- i still haven't watched this, but it sounds interesting

The Walking Dead - If you enjoy movies like 28 Day Of Life & I Am Legend, you would love this.

Psych - Its not really what you're looking for, but this is proly my favorite show right now. Its very funny, the plots are interesting. If you're looking for more comedy than drama, then Psych is worth your attention

This dramedy centers around the character of Shawn Spencer, who has the ability to see a situation for more than it's worth. When he is accused of committing a crime he helped the police solve, he convinces the police he's psychic. With the help of his best friend, Shawn is hired to help the police force solve crimes. How long can this charade go on? Maybe Shawn can foresee the answer to that question.

Rome - If you like historic shows i recommend you this one.

Day Break You should definitely check this out, its a mini series and its about Detective Brett Hopper who's having a really bad day. He has been framed for murder. He has an alibi, but no one will believe him. He wakes up one morning to realize he is reliving the same day over and over again. To stop this cycle and return to a normal life, he must find out who has framed him.
