B without any doubt. And here maybe we can start to see the difference between being a fan of Eminem and just liking his music.

Nice point.

Em's name in italics may go over some heads but, I know what you mean. High level ;) :b:

You guys really think with the shit he said in No Apologies that he doesn't have some insane stuff in his vault? This dude was prepared to die for rap (like 2pac) and had songs ready so that if he did get killed he could release after he was gone. Option A for sure.

"This song isn't for you, it's for me, a true MC
It's what it do just to see if he still has it
And if his skills mastered,
He's able to spill raps long after his killed, that's a real MC"
.

I'd like him to continue. Take a look at Eminem in the last 7 years, we've seen many styles from him. There's no way to predict how he would be rapping in 7-8 years, let alone a couple years. I don't like his stuff now compared to his older material, but I still think it's worth listening too, and I'm always eager to listen to a new release or project he works on.

No matter how he sounds or raps, I'll always be waiting for the next project with anticipation. If that makes me a "dumb stan", then oh well I guess.

Can people stop trying to reason out why the tracks weren't released in the first place? Maybe they had licensing issues or something, who cares! That's why it's a hypothetical question. So imagine there actually is 15 classic tracks and they would be the last he releases!

I'd go for 1. I simply don't see him changing for the best now. With SSLP-TES that was raw emotion of rags (SSLP) to riches (MMLP/TES), true inspiration. He was really angry at people (Marshall Mathers, The Way I Am), depressed (Rock Bottom), witty (I'm Back, Criminal, As The World Turns), creative (Stan, Guilty Conscience). Then you have his best flows/delivery ever in The Eminem Show! Then he got used to the new life, slight inspiration came back with the drug addiction but he's already done that to death. He's not hungry anymore as he would be in those 15 unreleased tracks, and I see no amount of years and quantity of music making up for such classics!

Are some people saying "not living in the past" because it sounds cool? Come on guys, it's good music. Time shouldn't be an issue. Not like I'll stop listening to MMLP or God Love Ugly because it was released a decade ago! Good music is timeless.

Definitely B. I'd rather see Em's legacy continue and see what he does with it than have him just release 15 old songs that may or may not be as good as we'd expect.

1. Eminem does not have 6 or 7 years left in him
2. MUSIC FROM HIS PRIME vs THIS HORSE SHIT is a no brainer
3. Who the fuck numbers their arguments anymore?

If he rapped like he did on The Reunion, in that voice and with the same storytelling ability (obviously not the same story and lyrics) I think he could make some great music.

Agreed, and in my opinion, 3 am was an awesome example of a story rap as well. The stories, like Stan, Same Song & Dance, 3 am, and now The Reunion, have consistently been among my favorites from their albums. It seems like he tries to do at least one on each album [obviously I'm not looking at all the track listings though], and I love that about him. I want to see him evolve.

B)

All we really need are some old school beats and the lyrics will follow. I really hate where mainstream beats have gone lately. Hear a lot of great beats behind tech n9ne and (other?)underground guys but every beat you hear behind wayne/drake/eminem/whoeever is a buzzing super speed explosion. That shit is way way overplayed IMO.

B. No question. Em has it in him, he knows what he did in the past, it's not like he can't re-evaluate it. In Relapse, we know he's still lyrically insane "Stay Wide Awake", and in "A Kiss" he's putting people on blast again in a humorous way. And think about it, I'm sure New Em could do amazing shit Old Em couldn't, and I like the New Em a lot.
